Very nice property, plenty of room for our family of 6, close to town and lovely beaches but quite a steep climb back to the house (oldest members of our family late 60’s). Beautiful views from the house and very peaceful.

Mrs G,

The Retreat is a great location for accessing Saundersfoot (only about 10 mins on foot, although the uphill walk home can seem longer!) with fantastic sea views from the balcony and garden patio. It is in a quiet residential area so there is plenty of opportunity to escape from the crowds whilst being close enough to benefit from the wide range of beaches, walks, pubs and restaurants without needing to take the car.

Mr B,

The Retreat is set in an elevated position overlooking Saundersfoot village and takes advantage of the lovely sea views.

Saundersfoot has beautiful sandy beaches, a working harbour and a village atmosphere with an array of shops from grocers, bakeries serving fresh bread and cakes and a butchers shop. There are plenty of gift shops with souvenirs to remind you of your Pembrokeshire holiday.

Tenby is just 3 miles away with three stunning beaches, harbour and lots of independent shops to browse around.  There is a lifeboat station where you can support the good work of the RNLI and learn about their history.  There are fishing trips and leisure trips leaving Tenby harbour, trips to Caldey Islands to see the monastery and Skomer Island which is home to a colony of puffins!

There are lots of wildlife adventure parks, Folly Farm is a top attraction with a range of animals from lions, giraffes, camels and penguins.  There is also an indoor Victorian fair with a ghost train and horse carousel.  There are also both indoor and outdoor play areas for the kids to enjoy.

Pembrokeshire is steeped in history and there are lots of sites to visit.  Pembroke, Carew and Manorbier Castles have lots of events happening throughout the year, such as falconry displays, ghostly evenings and art and craft days.
