I would highly recommend Afon Wen, very clean and comfortable and well equipped. Lots of space inside and out to have a truly relaxing holiday, despite having children and dogs in tow!Mrs Katherine Chappell - 29th August 2017
Wonderful property in a beautiful location. It is spacious, clean and well-equipped. Fabulous mountain and lake views around every corner and lovely beaches.Mrs Storey - 9th May 2016
The cottage was lovely with everything we could possibly need. Weather was not great but had a fab time anyway. Will definitely contact you in future and recommend to others.Karen U - 31st July 2015
We had an excellent holiday - the weather did its best to spoil things, but failed!! Afon Wen is a good base for exploring North Wales - Barmouth, Porthmadog, Caernarvon and Llangollen were just some of the places we explored. The cottage was great - just what we wanted - spacious, well thought out, all the facilities we needed as well as good outdoor areas. I would certainly recommend Afon Wen for families looking for property in Northern Wales.Mike C - 3rd July 2015
We had a great time thank you, what a lovely cottage and area.Mark H - 5th June 2015
Quick note to say many thanks for a great stay in Afon Wen - what a lovely place. The family thoroughly enjoyed it (and the weather was very kind!)Steve H - 5th March 2015
We all enjoyed the weekend and loved the property. We were very lucky with the weather as our main aim was hiking on the Saturday and we were lucky enough to have a bright clear day perfect for walking.Nicola D - 23rd January 2015
Thanks very much; we all appreciated the cosiness and the fact that everything worked well. Afon Wen is a really good size for a group like ours. Some fine weather despite the bitter cold and we had some lovely walks. I'm sure we'll be in touch again.Stephen B - 14th January 2015
We loved it! Afon Wen is a really special house. I didn't want to leave and I hope we will be back one day.Sally B - 27th December 2014
Our party of 8, ranging from a 19 month old toddler to an OAP and all ages in between, had a wonderful, fun and relaxing stay. The house is lovely, the facilities are excellent, and the gardens and views a delight. And we were further pleased by stunning weather.Phil M - 5th September 2014
We had a lovely time and the weather was great (with a wee bit of welcome drizzle here and there). I've got a gammy knee so had a sedate cup of tea instead of bouncing, but I'm informed it was absolutely amazing and very psychedelic. Highly recommended. I haven't made it Snowdonia for years and was utterly charmed so we've vowed to come back soon. I'll absolutely keep you guys on file for future trips. Thanks for all the help.Ben R - 18th July 2014
We had a wonderful time and found the accommodation very comfortable, well equipped and ideal for our needs. The only rain we experienced was one two hour deluge, so we were lucky in that aspect as well. We would certainly contact you should we be looking for a similar holiday again.Lawrence J - 4th July 2014
The property was fantastic and a great place to spend a week. We had a few friends up from Aberystwyth, and they loved the place. Great location, very comfortable house, plenty of room (we Americans like to ramble in a house), great kitchen (I love to cook). We certainly would consider renting again!Richard T - 16th May 2014
The house was, as you told my wife, absolutely fabulous, we were all very impressed with it. We had a most enjoyable time, and our visitors from Canada fell in love with North Wales. Who wouldn't?Brian - 25th April 2014
We have had a wonderful holiday! Afon Wen really is a beautiful house, very comfortable and impeccably clean.Tanya A - 11th April 2014
Many thanks, we had a wonderful time, the cottage was amazing and we hope to return again in the Summer.Lucy B - 14th February 2014
Thank you very much. The cottage was just as nice as you promised and we found more to see and do in the area than we expected at such a bad time of year. The stream flooding across the driveway added to the adventure - would we be able to get out to buy Brussels sprouts for the big day! Have a lovely New Year and many thanks again for all your help.Sue B - 20th December 2013
5 Star - a very relaxing week. Excellent cottage for a family get together (we varied in ages from 15 to 75), very comfortable and well appointed , good kitchen, loads of room to hideaway, great log fire. Picked a very windy and wet week (the great 2013 storm) but never noticed much with the thick stone walls. Friendly local pub in Llanderfell with both a good pint and food. Our local trips included a steam train, a deep slate mine and a nostalgic visit to Llandudno all within an hours drive. Would definitely go again - thanks!Chris W - 25th October 2013
It is a lovely house and I would like to get back there again, if not recommend it to someone else! Thank you.Terence - 24th May 2013
