Enlli is right in the heart of the Snowdonia National Park in the small village of Llanuwchllyn at the end of the spectacular Bala Lake (Llyn Tegid). This pet friendly property even has a dog friendly village pub and little shop right opposite, perfect after a day out walking by the lake or in the local Cambrian Mountains. Bala is 5.5 miles away and the beach at Barmouth 23 miles.
This traditional end terraced property has two wood burning stoves (initial logs provided), one in the cosy lounge, which also has a lovely slate floor, two comfortable sofas, Freeview TV/DVD and WiFi and the other in the spacious separate dining room, which has a dining table and chairs and another large sofa bed. The fitted kitchen is well equipped, with integral appliances, to include an electric oven and hob, dishwasher, fridge/freezer, microwave and washing machine. Also on the ground floor is a utility room with WC and basin which is also great for keeping outdoor clothing and muddy boots. Stairs lead from the lounge to the two bedrooms; a good sized double room with painted wooden floors and matching modern wooden furniture and bed, and a twin room also with painted floor and wooden furniture. Along with the sofa bed this can accommodate a total of 6 people. The compact shower room has a shower cubicle with electric shower. There is central heating throughout. To the rear of the property is a shared access alleyway and beyond that the enclosed, slate surfaced garden, with a picnic bench and further seating. There is roadside parking a short distance from the property.
Llanuwchllyn is the starting point for the Bala Lake Railway; a steam train takes you on scenic journey along the lake. The Eagles pub opposite the house does good pub food, is in the Good Beer Guide and has a little shop with basic supplies open from 7am each day. The small town of Bala has plenty of shops, cafes and restaurants. The lake is popular for watersports and angling with lots of good walking and cycling also in the area. A short drive takes you to the Tryweryn Whitewater Rafting Centre and further again to the seaside resorts of Barmouth and Porthmadog and all that Snowdonia has to offer.

The pretty market town of Bala and the surrounding villages sit close to the shores of Llyn Tegid (Bala lake,) the largest natural lake in Wales, in a magnificent position in the heart of the Snowdonia National Park.
Water sports are, of course, very popular here! Canoe/kayak and boat rental are all available, with lessons and courses run throughout the year. Fishing is a popular pastime, and for the adventurous you could try white water rafting from the nearby National White Water centre. Continuing on the activities theme, there are many cycle routes from Bala, both on and off road, and a short drive will take you to some of the best mountain biking areas in Wales such as the Coed Y Brenin and Penmachno trails. There is also family cycling around Llyn Trawsfynydd and Llyn Brenig. The Berwyn mountains offer superb, tranquil walking, whilst the main mountains of Snowdonia are within an hours’ drive.
The town of Bala itself has many shops, cafes and restaurants, including an award winning butcher and local beer shop. For those wanting fine dining the nearby Tyddyn Llan has a Michelin star and Pale hall has won many awards.
If you can drag yourself away from the lake, there is a superb narrow gauge steam railway and the award winning Mary Jones World museum to visit. Caerau gardens are open to the public and are of interest to young and old alike, or why not take the scenic drive through the Berwyn Mountains to Pistyll Rhaeadr, the highest waterfall in Wales.

Excellent. Mr Andrew Burgess - 17th October 2017
Nice well equipped cottage, we got to see a few places around despite the weather not being the best. We ate at the Eagles Inn a few times during the week, which was good hot food at reasonable prices. All in all lots of R & R which we needed, Thank You ( and from Kira for her chews)Mr A Woodward - 8th September 2017
This property suited us very well. We specifically wanted a Friday-Friday let this time (due to other commitments). It was well located to visit Snowdonia. The Snowdon mountain railway was one of the destinations we had in mind before going and we loved the empty mountain roads with the beautiful views. We were disappointed to learn of the closure of many local Tourist Information Offices.Ms Stephanie Grant - 30th August 2017

We spent four nights here exploring the beautiful countryside. A well equipped cottage and loved that we could bring our dog here. Thanks for the cake and the dog treats. the pub opposite is good for food and supplies (it has a shop inside). It gets busy so I would advise booking.
