Description

This late Victorian house at Bontddu stands in an elevated position, 5 miles east of Barmouth, and has lovely views over the Mawddach Estuary to Cadair Idris. The house was formerly the minister's house, attached to a converted chapel occasionally used by the owners.

Bryn Hyfryd is a three storey house. The attractive sitting room has rugs over stripped pine floor and a woodburning stove, TV and DVD player. The fitted kitchen diner includes a dishwasher, and the adjacent utility porch has fridge/freezer, washing machine and tumble dryer. There is also a ground floor shower room. On the first floor there are three bedrooms - double, single and twin - and a bathroom with shower over the bath. On the second floor is another double bedroom, with sloping, beamed ceilings and a washbasin. The house has WiFi and oil-fired central heating.

Dolgellau is 5 miles away for shops, pubs, restaurants and markets. Excellent local walking, Mawddach Trail for traffic free walking and cycling, mountain biking at nearby Coed-y-Brenin, and other outdoor pursuits in Snowdonia National Park. Wonderful sandy beach at Barmouth, just a short drive away, and lots of interesting towns and villages on the stunning coastline north to Harlech.

Electricity and central heating included.

Bed linen and towels provided.

Cot and high chair available (second cot available on request).

No smoking.

*Discounts available for 2 people using one bedroom (outside of the school holiday and summer weeks).
