Description

Pant y Hyddod is semi-detached stone cottage, part of the extensive farmhouse,  in a remote elevated position, above the forest high above Betws-y-Coed in the Snowdonia National Park. The cottage is on the owners' small farm, with free range hens and the bustling activities of farm life all around you.  The approach is via a 2 miles of forestry track.

'there are some good cafes in Betws - y -Coed, my favorite Alpine Cafe, serving good food in the day, and Hangin Pizza in the evenings, serving amazing pizza, both give a % of profits to help the Orangutans in Borneo!' from Jacky our local property manager

The cottage: is a home from home with lots of character, beamed ceilings and a huge inglenook fireplace. Oil central heating. Plenty of parking.

Sitting room: logs are supplied for the wood burner which is set in a fireplace where you can still see the original bread oven! This room is spacious and has leather style sofas, Freeview TV/DVD and WiFi. The room also has an antique dresser and grandfather clock.

The sitting room leads to the conservatory

Conservatory: has sofas and chairs to relax in

Kitchen diner: is well equipped with a range style double oven, microwave and dishwasher. The separate utility room has further work surface area and washing machine, fridge freezer and tumble dryer. A door leads to the rear garden. The dining area has a table and chairs for six.

There is a ground floor bedroom and family bathroom

Bedroom 1: has a double bed with traditional welsh tapestry blanket.

Family bathroom: is fully tiled with shower over the bath, WC and basin.

Stairs lead from the sitting area to:

Bedroom 2: a twin room in the eaves with a chair to relax in.

Cloakroom: adjacent to the twin room with WC and basin

Outside: is an undercover seating area and bench

Pant y Hyddod is in a fabulous position with views right across the valley. Footpaths and trails lead from the door, with mountain biking in the nearby forests, and the mountains of Snowdonia within a few miles. Betws-y-Coed has plenty of shops, cafes, restaurants and pubs.  The Swallow falls are spectacular. It is a justifiably popular tourist destination. Llanberis for Snowdon is 12 miles away and the coastal towns of Conwy and Llandudno 17 miles.

Note: this cottage is on a working farm with free range hens around and working dogs in the yard
