Description

Y Beudy is in a fabulous location between the sea and the mountains, giving great open views of Snowdonia and the Anglesey coast. This is one of a collection of three outbuildings on the owners’ farm, all of which having been lovingly converted, and are well looked after, to provide comfortable holiday accommodation. They are situated between the village and marina at Port Dinorwig (Y Felinheli) and the university town of Bangor, about 3 miles from both. A short drive of 6 miles takes you to Caernarfon for the historic castle and Welsh Highland Railway.

'For a bit of 5* dining go to the Ty'n Rhos country house hotel, watch the sunset from the restaurant whilst enjoying your meal, just a very short drive down the road (or walk for the brave)' from Jacky, our local property manager

The Cottage: is a tastefully converted single storey stone cottage (see also WAG431 and WAG432), with a good standard of decor and furnishings, near the owners' farmhouse. Central heating.

Living Room: the pleasant open plan living space has leather sofas, an electric flame effect stove, and a large flatscreen Freeview TV/DVD and WiFi.

The Kitchen Diner: has a slate tiled floor with a wooden table and chairs. The fitted kitchen has a washing machine, electric oven, hob with extractor fan over, fridge and small freezer.

There are two nicely presented bedrooms.

Bedroom 1: the spacious double room is comfortable with coordinating wooden furniture and a dressing table/work space and chair.

Bedroom 2: the pretty twin room has an integrated wardrobe and a small flat screen TV.

Bathroom:  the tiled bathroom has a bath, WC, basin and separate shower cubicle.

Exterior: the hard surface area at the front of the cottage has an open patio area with a picnic bench and superb views. Plenty of private parking.

This area is excellent for all sorts of outdoor activities. Llanberis is 5 miles away at the foot of Snowdon for walking and for the Mountain and Lake Railway, Padarn lake for watersports and the National Slate Museum. The famous ZipWorld Velocity zip wire is also 5 miles away at Penrhyn Quarry, Bethesda. The National Trust's Penrhyn Castle and Plas Newydd are both a short drive away along with the fabulous sandy beaches of Anglesey. The University City of Bangor has a Victorian pier, shops, cafes and smart new cinema and theatre. Greenwood Forest park, a fantastic family experience is just under 2 miles away.

Reviews

We really enjoyed our stay! The owner was very welcoming and provided us with a very generous welcome pack.

Mrs Caroline B,

Lovely very well equiped cottage, great location and a very welcoming owner, home from home

Previous Customer,

Nice cottage in good location for access to beaches and mountains. Great hosts who gave us a lovely welcome! :)

Dr Mike H,

Y Beudy is a lovely clean and comfortable cottage; one of the best we have stayed in. The kitchen in particular is well laid out and equipped, with all the utensils being reasonably new and very clean. The location is rural and peaceful, but convenient for Bangor and the wider area with only a short drive along a narrow lane. The owner was helpful when we had a query about the central heating which appeared to have been accidentally switched off. There was a useful welcome pack including milk in the fridge, cake and drinks, which we appreciated.

Mr Ross H,

Very comfortable cottage, ideally located for the Coast Path and other attractions. I was well looked after by the owners - nothing too much trouble. Thank you.

Miss Alison B,
