Description

Rhandir Mwyn is just outside the historic town of Caernarfon and in a convenient location to access both the mountains of Snowdonia and the fantastic coastline of north Wales. Llanberis is just a scenic 6 miles away for paths and railway up Snowdon, and the nearest beach at Dinas Dinlle is 7 miles away. The house is all on one level and has a regular bus service passing, for those who don’t want to use the car.

'take a stroll, or cycle along the sea front passing the harbour and spectacular Caernarfon castle, keep on going over the little draw bridge and down the Foryd nature reserve, for lovely views, bird watching , or for the kids, a really good play area and skateboard park!' from Jacky, our local property manager

The Cottage: is well looked after by the owner, who also prides herself on its cleanliness. The sheltered rear garden is a delight, looking over the tranquil churchyard to the hills beyond. The cottage has lots of homely touches, hand made cushions and family paintings. There is central heating throughout

The Living Room: the spacious living/dining room is comfortably furnished with sofas and armchairs, an electric fire, Freeview TV/DVD and WiFi. The dining area has a large wooden table and chairs with patio doors to the rear.

The Kitchen: is a good size and is well equipped to include a table top dishwasher, integrated oven, microwave, washing machine and large fridge/freezer. There is a good range of cooking equipment and even some great cookery books for inspiration! The kitchen leads to a rear porch for storage of boots and coats.

There are three bedrooms are all nicely styled and newly renovated, with homely touches such as pretty paintings and handcrafted items passed down through the family.

Bedroom 1: is a large double with ensuite shower room.

Bedroom 2: is a twin with garden views

Bedroom 3: is a single.

Bathroom: a family bathroom with bath (no shower in here but shower in the ensuite).

Outside: the garage houses the tumble dryer and can be used to store bikes and other equipment. The pretty well-maintained garden faces south and is a real sun trap and has a table and chairs.  There is plenty of private parking.. Views to the rear are across the churchyard and over to the hills of the Lleyn Peninsula.

The local shop and garage are just a few hundred yards away, very convenient for fresh bread and last minute supplies, further amenities can be found in Caernarfon. This walled town has loads to do and must-see visits include; the stunning castle, Welsh Highland Railway, Segontium Roman remains and museum, harbour and castle walls, a stroll down the Foryd conservation area along the Menai Straits, and pleasure cruises from the harbour. Reviews

A lovely, comfortable and welcoming house. We had a wonderful holiday here. Thank you very much.

Previous Customer,

Well appointed cottage for visiting local attractions, of which there are many places visited: Caernarfon Castle, Penrhyn Castle, Roman Ruins, Copper Mine, Beaumaris Castle, Mount Snowdon, Llanberis Lake Railway, National Slate Museum. Cottage clean and comfortable & welcome pack well received.

Mr Rhys B,

The stay here has been lovely. The house is very comfortable, perfect for resting after a very wet hike. Merci beaucoup!

Previous Customer,

Thank you for letting us stay in your lovely home for New Years Eve, we had a lovely relaxed evening and we would definitely recommend the cottage to others; it has everything you need and more, very homely but spacious, quiet but very close to all the local area has to offer. Many thanks from all of us.

Previous Customer,

Thank you for hosting us and sharing your wonderful home. The three of us had a very cosy winter here in the Welsh countryside. We have very many happy memories and hope to come back to Wales soon.

Previous Customer,

A great find on Airbnb for us. Here for Snowdonia marathon and found this by chance. A fantastic location, very clean and well maintained. The owner is wonderful and we were made welcome. Thank you. We will be back.

Loved the house, really comfortable and could not fault it in anyway. Great location to explore that part of Wales.
