Description

1 Dolwen Farm is a delightful holiday cottage within the bustling courtyard of a working farm, whose farm shop is well known in the area. Fantastic for children and animal lovers, this is in a rural location with lovely views from the grounds over the surrounding countryside. Dolwen is 3 miles from Colwyn Bay, 6 miles from Conwy and Llandudno, and about 10 miles from the Snowdonia National Park.

‘A welcome pack with eggs and bacon from the farm is included!’ from Jacky, our local manager.

The Cottage: is a pretty barn conversion which adjoins WAG502, so ideal for a family with grandparents staying next door. The owners are on hand to offer a warm welcome and local information. Central heating.

Patio doors lead from the private patio into the hallway with bedrooms leading off on the ground floor

Living room: is on the first floor to make the most of the views and has an open-plan living/dining room and kitchen This well-planned room has an impressive beamed ceiling and includes leather sofas and chairs, large Freeview TV/DVD and WiFi. Dining table and chairs.

Kitchen: is a fitted cottage style kitchen with an integrated oven and hob, microwave and dishwasher. A shared utility room (with WAG502) houses the tumble dryer, washing machine and freezer.

There is a cloakroom with WC and basin on this first floor

Two ground floor bedrooms and en suite shower room * Note this is the only shower room with access through the double bedroom*

Bedroom 1: is the beamed master double room with en suite shower room. Furnished attractively with solid wooden furniture.

Dolwen is a great base from which to relax and enjoy the farm and its surroundings, or to explore the attractions of the local area. Colwyn Bay has a beach, watersports centre and the popular Mountain Zoo. The walled town of Conwy has lots of cafes, local breweries, pubs and independent shops, whilst Llandudno has a magnificent promenade, a tramway and cable car leading up to the summit of the Great Orme, also an artificial ski slope and toboggan run! Inland is the National Trust's Bodnant Garden, Bodnant Welsh Food centre and the mountains of Snowdonia.

Reviews

Absolutely brilliant property managed by a fantastic family

Matthew J,

We have had a fabulous week. The cottage is very comfortable and ticked all the right boxes. This was our first time in North Wales, but definitely not our last.

Mr Michael W,

Lovely week in the cottage. Very comfortable. Convenient for lots of things to see and do, especially if you love birds, scenery and the outdoors. Too many National Trust places to visit in one week, so we will be back again another time.

adrian w,

We had a lovely time staying at the cottage and visiting North Wales. The cottage is well set with great views. Thank you.

Mr Andrew W,

Despite it not being as sunny as we had hoped, we had a great time. North Wales is definitely worth a visit! Lot's to do and lot's to see, not least the young calf's, thanks! And thanks for the delicious bacon and eggs! We have to come again.

Previous Customer,

Spacious and very comfortable. The owners were friendly and all the dogs came to say hello too! Great location with beautiful views across the valley. Short drive to supermarkets etc.. Would recommend this property to others with no reservations.

Clare M,

No complaints. The accommodation was comfortable and the owners were very friendly and helpful.

Mr Paul T,

We enjoyed our stay. Very comfortable. Great base for travelling around North Wales. Friendly and helpful hosts. Many thanks.

Clare M,

Lovely relaxing stay! Great views, friendly and welcoming hosts. Lots of new sights and smells in the countryside and on the beaches for our dog, Prince!

Mr Jason P,

We really enjoyed our stay, thank you for being so kind hosts, even though my wife only just found out she could have visited some lambs (lucky for me I guess, or else we would have taken one home).

Previous Customer,

We had a lovely stay, seeing the farm in action was great, and being able to buy lots of fresh eggs and meat to bring home with us was an added bonus!

Mrs Kate B,
