Description

Red Kites Retreat is a sumptuous three bedroom luxury cottage sleeping seven guests in style. Set on the side of a hill with amazing views across the Conwy Valley yet within a few miles of the North Wales coast, the historic town of Conwy and Betws-y-Coed. This luxury boutique retreat is situated two miles from the village of Eglwysbach, which has a convenience store and pub. The cottage boasts an award winning hot tub and enjoys panoramic views from a quiet, elevated hillside location, making ideal as a family or couples' hideaway.

The cottage dates back some 400 years and is packed with modern luxuries and high quality fittings. The lounge is beautifully presented with inviting leather sofas, high vaulted ceiling, wood burning stove, large flatscreen TV with digital receiver, DVD player, iPod docking station and CD player. The luxury kitchen is beautifully fitted with oak units and granite work surfaces, and the generous island breakfast bar provides a real focal point. It is equipped with a halogen hob, electric oven, large fridge/freezer, dishwasher, microwave and washing machine and has a dining area with an oak table and chairs for eight.

There are three large and beautifully furnished bedrooms and three luxury bath/shower rooms. The ground floor twin bedroom has a large flatscreen TV with DVD player and an ensuite shower room with large walk-in shower, basin and WC. The main bedroom on the first floor is a beautiful room with a double height vaulted ceiling and kingsize bed. The main bathroom also deserves a special mention; double height ceiling, luxury rolltop bath (with pillow), feature marble tiling and a magnificent chandelier. The second bedroom is another lovely room with a double bed, double day bed and ensuite shower room with luxury large walk-in shower, washbasin and WC.

Double doors lead from the kitchen to a lower patio with a table and chairs and views across the valley. On the upper sun deck, guests can more amazing views from the hot tub; the deck also has a table and chairs for eight, sun loungers and a charcoal barbecue. There is ample off-road parking and many country walks right from the door, great for exploring.

Red Kites Retreat has twice the standard insulation and uses an eco-friendly heat recovery system to ensure a cosy temperature all year round. This also makes it ideal for allergy sufferers. The property enjoys travertine tiles warmed with underfloor heating on the ground floor and has solid oak flooring throughout the bedrooms.

Please note Red Kites Retreat can be booked with Buzzard View to sleep up to 11 guests.

The cottage is accessed via a long single track lane, fairly steep in places though recently re-tarmaced and with passing places.
