Description

This Victorian mid-terraced house, in the historic market town of Llanrwst, has been lovingly renovated with much charm. Gainsboro has the added convenience of being close to the railway station for a car free holiday and close to all the amenities of Llanrwst. Betws-y -Coed, the gateway to Snowdonia, is 5 miles away and Conwy, with its famous castle and walled town, 10 miles.

'Ffin y Parc art gallery is a few miles down the road and has changing exhibitions from some of the best welsh artists, also a good cafe serving homemade food in magnificent surroundings' from Jacky, our local property manager

The Cottage: has two cosy sitting rooms separated by glazed doors and a bright modern kitchen diner. Gas central heating.

Sitting rooms: each having a lovely Victorian fireplace with a realistic gas coal-effect fire; Freeview TV DVD/I pod dock and Wi-Fi. The wooden floors have rugs over and there is a choice of sofas and easy chairs to relax on in front of the fire.

Kitchen dining room: is spacious and light with doors leading to the rear garden and a large sky light. The modern fitted kitchen has a dishwasher, washing machine, fridge/freezer, microwave and integrated cooker and hob with extractor, also a wall mounted TV. Round wooden table and chairs for four and a sofa for relaxing.

There are two bedrooms and the bathroom on the first floor

Bedroom 1: is a large double room with fitted wardrobes and a chair.

Bedroom 2: is a twin with a 4ft double bed and a single.

Bathroom: this lovely room has a modern slipper bath and corner shower cubicle.

Outside: the rear patio has garden furniture. There is on-street parking to the front of the property or parking for one car in the private garage to the rear. The garage has an electric car charger, a tumble dryer and bikes can also be stored here.

Llanrwst itself is a bustling small market town with some great cafes, pubs and shops selling local goods. Pleasant walks can be had from the door along the river to Betws-y-Coed and to Trefiw in the other direction. This area is very popular with both road and mountain bikers with easy access to the multi-use trails in the Gwydir forest. The Conwy valley has the National Trust's Bodnant gardens, the popular Bodnant Welsh Food centre and Surf Snowdonia splash and surf centre, whilst Conwy Castle and the coast is just 10 miles away. Many of the most popular attractions of the Snowdonia National Park are a short drive away.

Reviews

Our 2nd visit to this lovely cottage. Very spacious yet still feeling cosy. Clean and comfortable. Great nights sleep. Excellent location within 5 minutes walk to all amenities including supermarkets, local shops and buses. The train station is opposite. Very relaxed atmosphere with friendly neighbours. Will definitely book again!

Linda C,

Lovely cottage in perfect location for exploring North Wales. Very comfortable house with 2 great sitting rooms and a fantastic kitchen diner. Great patio garden for the evening sunshine. Lots to do in the surrounding area - surf snowdonia, steam train rides, castles and beautiful beaches.

Mrs Victoria G,
