This Victorian mid-terraced house, in the historic market town of Llanrwst, has been lovingly renovated with much charm. Gainsboro has the added convenience of being close to the railway station for a car free holiday and close to all the amenities of Llanrwst. Betws-y -Coed, the gateway to Snowdonia, is 5 miles away and Conwy, with its famous castle and walled town, 10 miles.
'Ffin y Parc art gallery is a few miles down the road and has changing exhibitions from some of the best welsh artists, also a good cafe serving homemade food in magnificent surroundings' from Jacky, our local property manager

Llanrwst itself is a bustling small market town with some great cafes, pubs and shops selling local goods. Pleasant walks can be had from the door along the river to Betws-y-Coed and to Trefiw in the other direction. This area is very popular with both road and mountain bikers with easy access to the multi-use trails in the Gwydir forest. The Conwy valley has the National Trust's Bodnant gardens, the popular Bodnant Welsh Food centre and Surf Snowdonia splash and surf centre, whilst Conwy Castle and the coast is just 10 miles away. Our 2nd visit to this lovely cottage. Very spacious yet still feeling cosy. Clean and comfortable. Great nights sleep. Excellent location within 5 minutes walk to all amenities including supermarkets, local shops and buses. The train station is opposite. Very relaxed atmosphere with friendly neighbours. Will definitely book again!Miss Linda Camplin - 16th July 2018

Great place to stay, great location, great value for moneyMr Dan Woodhouse - 16th September 2017
We enjoyed a lovely holiday at Gainsboro in Llanrwst. Warm, comfortable and well-equipped. Ideal location for us as we have no transport as it is close to both train and bus stops. Able to tour around this part of North Wales without problem, Situated round the corner from large co-op and other shops so self catering easy. Would definately book again.Miss Linda Camplin - 21st July 2017
Fantastic cottage in a brilliant location for exploring North Wales. Lots of space downstairs with lovely kitchen diner. Second time we've stayed and hope to come back next year. Lovely cottage - really good size especially downstairs with a pleasant patio garden. Very clean and well maintained. The location was great for visiting lots of different places in North Wales. I loved the house and would recommend it to others and be happy to stay again.Mr Bond - 10th August 2015
We only needed the property to sleep 4 as advised on the website, but on arrival found there was a sofa bed and spare put me up bed under the master bed - may be helpful for others, especially with children. Lovely house. Lots of things thought of eg, washing powder, tea/coffee for arrival, board games, book, brochure and guest book with advice of things to do.Ms Slocombe - 3rd July 2015
Once again we have thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this property and hope to do so again.Mrs Pearce - 29th August 2014
You were extremely helpful in identifying the right property for me in terms of type, location and distance from village centre. It was absolutely ideal and my daughter and I felt really at home there, visiting local restaurants, and hostelries to eat. The cottage was so similar to my previous home, and my current house was also a railway workers home. Combined with the weather, I really wanted to stay another week! Thank you.Ms Whyman - 28th July 2014
