Pen y Bryn Cottage is set on the hillside above the Conwy Valley with breathtaking 180 degree views across the surrounding fields and to the mountains of Snowdonia. This superb property has been renovated to a high standard offering spacious accommodation, with the added bonus of two lounges, both with woodburning stoves, central heating from a Bio Mass boiler, and underfloor heating, all making for a perfect, cosy holiday home throughout the year. The historic market town of Llanrwst is 1.8 miles away, the walled town of Conwy 13 miles and Betws-y-Coed, 'the gateway to Snowdonia', 6 miles.
Pen y Bryn Cottage is in its own grounds on a working farm. The open plan living area has a large lounge with comfortable sofas, Freeveiw TV/DVD,WiFi and patio doors leading to the garden. A feature of this room is the fireplace with woodburning stove, flanked by full length windows with those stunning views! The kitchen diner has a table and chairs for six, that can be extended, and further patio doors leading to the garden. The good quality kitchen is well equipped to include an electric double oven and ceramic hob, integrated fridge, dishwasher and microwave. The large separate utility room, with access to the rear garden, has a second sink, storage cupboards, freezer and washing machine. This room is ideal for storing and drying outdoor kit after a day out and about. Also on the ground floor is a wet room with WC and basin. The second lounge/snug has a corner sofa (which is a sofabed for alternative sleeping arrangements), and another woodburning stove and TV. Stairs lead from this room to the spacious first floor bedrooms and family bathroom. There are two king size bedrooms, one with full length feature windows, and a twin. The family bathroom has a free standing roll top bath and large shower cubicle.
Outside there is plenty of parking space and an enclosed garden with patio, garden furniture and barbecue. The small village of Llanddoged is just on the edge of the Snowdonia National Park overlooking the Conwy Valley in an area of natural beauty and close to all that the park has to offer. Just down the road are the National Trust's famous Bodnant Gardens and Bodnant Welsh Food Centre. Conwy, with its impressive castle, is just a short drive away, along with the beaches of the North Wales coast. Betws-y-Coed is a deservedly popular tourist destination with plenty of outdoor shops and cafes, a picturesque river running through it and the renowned Swallow Falls nearby. As well as the walking, mountain biking and other outdoor activities close by, there is a new man made surf lake at Surf Snowdonia, an unforgettable experience for young and old!

Superb property with outstanding views. Spotlessly clean, exceptional fittings and decoration, this really had the wow factor. Nice touches of essentials left by the owners for our arrival. Location was excellent, rural, but close enough to the town to stock up. Mountains of snowdonia on the doorstep, Gwydir forest with plenty of trails, Bodnant gardens and lovely coast at Great Orme all within easy distance. Access is through a farmyard, with a pack of small dogs running around - a bit excitable when walking/biking through. Will happily returnMrs Deborah Bates - 7th July 2018

It's a great house with a great view. We felt very welcomed, and thoroughly enjoyed our stay! We're planning on coming back again in the future.Mr John Gandy - 30th August 2017
This is the best holiday home we have ever had considering we have had quite a few very good holiday homes in the past, David Edwards the owner made sure we were settled in the cottage, and our grandson absolutely adored Tilly the owners dog, it was also very considerate of the owners to provide milk, butter, egg's and the the bara brith, the location was beautiful and so relaxing we wished we had booked 2 weeks.Mr I Saunders - 21st August 2017
Pen y Bryn is as close to perfect as we can imagine a holiday cottage to be: wonderful views with huge windows to enjoy them, well-equipped, beautifully furnished and with friendly and helpful owners. Mr Daniel Read - 15th August 2017
Outstanding cottage, excellent hosts .. very willing to help but do not interfere at all.Ms K Swann - 7th August 2017
The cottage is very well catered for and equipped, very spacious for me, my partner and four teenagers - very handy having the second living room, the views are amazing and the owners are very friendly and helpful. The cottage is well placed for exploring North Wales, with trips to Anglesey, Snowdon, Portmeirion and the north coast all within easy reach. Ms Rachel Graham - 10th July 2017
