Description

This spacious Aberdaron holiday cottage is set on a coastal farm, on the most western point of the beautiful Llyn Peninsula. Its large living area with a welcoming woodburner makes this pet-friendly cottage a perfect venue to relax in peaceful surroundings. Discover hidden beaches and fantastic views along the nearby Coastal Path, catch a boat to the sacred Bardsey Island (Ynys Enlli) or enjoy some go-karting and ten pin bowling at Glasfryn Parc. This Designated Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty offers so many inspiring experiences that you will always want to return for more.

Ground Floor

Open plan kitchen / dining / living room with a large, welcoming wood burning stove.

The fully fitted kitchen includes a dishwasher, fridge/freezer, electric oven, microwave and washing machine. Dining table and chairs for up to 6 guests. The spacious living area also features a large leather corner sofa, 3 seater sofa and swivel chair, along with a TV, DVD player, CD player and a Nintendo Wii game console.

Bedroom 1 – spacious room with a king sized bed, a wardrobe, chest of draws, bedside cabinets with lamps and chair. Smart TV.

Bedroom 2 - king bedroom also furnished with a wardrobe, chest of drawers, bedside cabinets with lamps and chair, and a smart TV.

Bedroom 3 – twin bedroom with wardrobe, chest of drawers, bedside cabinets, lamps and chair. This room also has a smart TV.

Bathroom with walk in shower, wc, washbasin, mirror and shaver point.

Garden

The enclosed rear garden offers a secure area for children / pet dog to play and is a real sun trap. It has a lawn and patio area with garden furniture and a charcoal barbecue set.

Location

This Aberdaron holiday cottage is located just a stone’s throw away from the farm yard in a peaceful setting on the Llyn Peninsula. It adjoins the owners farmhouse but gardens are setup so that it has a private garden area. It is just 20 meters from the coastal path which offers spectacular views of Ynys Enlli (Bardsey Island) and along the Peninsula towards Snowdonia. Ynys Enlli, a former site of religious pilgrimage is now a National Nature Reserve that can be visited by boat from Porth Meudwy, just 2 miles from your cottage.

A 2 mile journey along a quiet country lane brings you to the beautiful, coastal village of Aberdaron. This is the most western village on the tip of the Llyn Peninsula where you will find a lovely sandy beach, two excellent pubs with restaurants, cafes, a village Bakery where you can get fresh bread every morning, Spar shop, newsagents and a Beach shop.

The Llyn Peninsula is a designated area of outstanding natural beauty where the Welsh language and way of life still flourish. It is renowned for its beautiful beaches, water sport and delightful coastal villages. With 84 miles of stunning coastline, an array of hills of varying height inland plus the majestic mountains of Snowdonia on your doorstep, it’s also a great place for a walking holiday.

Another experience not to be missed during your stay at this Aberdaron holiday cottage is a visit to Porthoer (Whistling Sands) – a beautiful beach where the sand does actually whistle under your feet. Also recommended are visits to the historical Plas yn Rhiw manor house (6 miles), Felin Uchaf Educational Centre (5 miles) and the numerous castles, including Cricieth (26 miles) and Caernarfon (35 miles). For family days out, Glasfryn Parc is a must with its go-karting, ten-pin bowling, archery etc, along with the Ffestiniog Railway, the Italian village of Portmeirion, Greenwood Forest Park and the National Slate Museum at Llanberis.
