Fabulous modern comfortable bungalow with everything you need for a good holiday. Excellent location close to Bala for amenities and within driving distance of all of Snowdonia's attractions-and beyond.

Mrs D,

Received a very warm welcome from Gwyn… the property is in an excellent location… peaceful with lovely views all round… exceptionally high standard of cleanliness and furnishings. We’ll definitely be booking to stay again and would highly recommend this property to anyone looking for a great place to be based for access to so many places and in such a beautiful part of Wales!

Mr E,

This is a superb property - spacious, well-equipped and with beautiful views. I would put this at the top end of holiday homes I've stayed in with no trouble or expense spared in terms of the standard of equipment and furnishings. Even if it pours with rain I don't think holidaymakers would be too unhappy staying in and enjoying the house with its TVs, games and books. The owner, actually built the house to his own exacting standards and he proved to be a friendly and welcoming host.

Mr L,

If you want to visit Gwynedd I couldn’t recommend this property enough, There are plenty of places to eat in Bala and lots of places to visit in reach of this property.

Mr M,

Excellent holiday accommodation of very high standard. Spacious, modern, very clean, everything we could want to make our holiday memorable. Home from Home. Would not hesitate to recommend this property. The location was central for visiting lakes, mountains and the coast. Lake Bala was very picturesque and Lake Vyrnwy perfect for cycling, walking and nature.

Mrs B,

This has to be one of the most fantastic places we have ever stayed. The accommodation was beautiful, the beds comfy, the kitchen very well equipped and the views magnificent. And we had perfect weather! Thank you to our super hosts.

Mr W,

Beautifully presented cottage. Warm welcome from hosts. Lovely open views of the surrounding countryside from every window. Welcome pack very much appreciated. Will definitely re-visit this cottage.

Mr B,

This was our 2nd visit and we enjoyed the holiday as much as before apart from the weather which is out of everyone’s control. It’s certainly a 5 star property with amazing views and peace and quiet. The owners were lovely and friendly and did not encroach on our privacy. We would recommend this property.

Mrs H,

Enjoy tranquil, rural surroundings at this detached, contemporary cottage. Just 1 mile from the welcoming market town of Bala - home to the largest natural lake in Wales called Llyn Tegid (Bala Lake) that can be seen from the elevated grounds surrounding your cottage. Bala also offers a whole range of amenities, including a variety of shops, a convenience store and small supermarket, banks and a garage. There is also a traditional cinema and a Leisure Centre which includes a fitness room, indoor swimming pool and a slide. Not to mention a steam train that runs along Bala Lake Railway through beautiful Snowdonia scenery.

The town of Bala offers numerous cafes, pubs and restaurants such as Plas yn Dre , White Lion Hotel, Plas Coch, Y Cwrt and Bala Spice. Amongst the best places to eat in the area is Pale Hall restaurant (3.5 miles) - an old stately home and a fantastic building, the Michelin star Tyddynllan restaurant in Llandrillo (6.5 miles) and Lake Vyrnwy restaurant (14 miles along a scenic mountain road). For a really good village pub / restaurant, visit the Eagles Inn in Llanuwchllyn (5.5 miles), or Bryntirion Inn, Llandderfel (3.5 miles) for a real ale pub.

If you enjoy the outdoors, this is the area for you because Bala and the surrounding area is firmly establishing itself as the 'adventure' capital of Wales. From world class watersports provision on Bala Lake (canoeing, sailing, windsurfing and gorge walking) and the National White Water Centre (5 miles) to a high speed go-carting circuit in Cerrigydrudion (12 miles). You also have the famous Zip Wire and Bounce Below in Blaenau Ffestiniog (22 miles) and numerous other attractions such as Tree Tops Adventure in Betws y Coed and Coed y Brenin's world renowned Mountain Biking Centre all within easy reach.

If you prefer to relax on holiday, there are numerous picturesque mountain and lakeside walks nearby, not to mention the scenic cycle route along the shores of Llyn Tegid lake. And why not treat yourself to a night out with popcorn in the local cinema? Your Bala holiday cottage also provides a great central base to explore the whole of Snowdonia and North Wales. Llechwedd Slate Caverns (22 miles), Portmeirion (29 miles) and the Welsh Highland Railway (30 miles) are just some of many highly recommended days out.
