Escape to the heart of Snowdonia National Park and relax in this charming holiday cottage, which has jaw-dropping mountain views and a terraced garden for making the most of the fresh Welsh air. It’s on the edge of Blaenau Ffestiniog (1.5 miles), where you’ll find plenty of shops and restaurants. find With three bedrooms, the mid-terrace property is ideal for a family or group of friends keen to explore the local sites. Due to restricted space in the living area, we recommend a maximum of four adults and one child. Two dogs are welcome to come along, too – they’ll adore taking you on long walks through the hills!
The property is decorated to a high standard and has original features such as ceiling beams as well as tasteful artwork. On the ground floor, the open-plan living area is a lovely space to relax in, whether you’re cooking up a hearty meal in the kitchen or kicking back on one of the welcoming sofas. The flame-effect fire will keep you warm on chilly evenings. When dinner is ready, there’s an attractive pine table where you can all eat together. The double bedroom on the first floor has beautiful mountain views and there’s a family bathroom with a jacuzzi bath – ideal for when you’ve been on your feet all day. In mild weather, you can relax outside in the enclosed terraced garden, which boasts a decked area with outdoor seating, a chiminea and a BBQ.
When it’s time to explore the surrounding area, Blaenau Ffestiniog waterfalls (0.5 miles) offers an easy local walk. Adventure seekers will flock to the mountain biking trails at Antur Stiniog (2 miles) or the rock climbing area at Craig Pant Ifan (11.5 miles).
