Escape to enchanting North Wales and stay in this beautiful barn conversion close to Snowdonia National Park. Sleeping four guests, the two-bedroom, stone retreat nestles at the heart of a 50-acre estate, 1 mile from Llanddeiniolen and 6 miles from Caernarfon, and is perfect for a small family or two couples. With magnificent views out over the undulating surroundings, the cottage is ideal for those who enjoy walking, mountain climbing and wildlife watching.

Take a step up to enter the appealing, single-storey Welsh abode and wander in to find enticing accommodation which beautifully balances features such as exposed stone walls and vaulted, beamed ceilings with a clean, modern finish and skylight windows. The large lounge/diner is the perfect place to spend time together after your exciting adventures. Open the glass doors on to your outside space on fine days and settle in front of the TV on cosy nights in. This room adjoins the kitchen via an arch, which is convenient for preparing homecooked meals then dining together. Wander through to the exquisite bedrooms, which share the family bathroom, when you are ready to turn in. One of these is double in size and the other is a twin, with an exquisite slit window. Step out into the sunshine to dine out in the fresh air. Cook supper out here on the fire pit on summer evenings and sit out around the glowing heat long into the night. There is private parking.

Venture 8 miles from the barn to explore Snowdonia, with its myriad of footpaths and climbing routes. Very comfortable and cosy, lovely views of sheep and birds in the garden. The area was tranquil and remote, very easy to relax in. The bed was very comfy, I don't usually sleep well away from my home but I slept very well here. We didn't have a car so there was a lot of walking, but it was very enjoyable. Once you get out to Y Felinheli there are gRead morereat transport links to various areas around North Wales; we found it easy to get to places like Caernarfon, Holyhead, Llanberis, and Beaumaris. Owners were wonderful hosts and have really made the cottage very welcoming. Hide

Comfort- the matresses were uncomfortable could feel all the springs through them. The bathroom door scraped the floor noisily, but pointed this out to the owners and they were fixing it as we left. Lovely quiet location, important for us as we live on a farm with nearest neighbours and road 1/2 mile away but 'townies' might not like the very bumpyRead more track. Hide

Bathroom door was an issue. It needs shaving off the bottom to shut it more easily. Kitchen saucepans need lids/matching lids. Extra larger saucepan would have helped with 4 people. Single beds bit uncomfortable.

Lovely overall stay thank you. Two suggestions for an improved stay, the door hinges need oiling, every time a door is opened at night the loud noise wakes up anyone sleeping. The skylight in the twin bedroom needs an electric blind, anyone light sensitive cannot sleep in that room without waking up at dawn.
