Description

Nant y Bryn is a characterful and cosy traditional Welsh cottage, conveniently located in the old part of Dolgellau town, one of the most beautiful places in Snowdonia. The cottage is on a very quiet street with only very occasional traffic passing yet convenient for the town centre, with a good choice of shops, restaurants and pubs. The nearest supermarket is 0.3 miles from the cottage, and there are bakeries and shops located around Eldon Square, a 2 minute walk away. Although there's no parking at the cottage, a permit for the main car park is provided.

It is a fabulous base to explore Snowdonia and there are many fantastic walks accessible directly from the cottage including the flat Mawwdach Trail, which follows the railway bed 9 miles along the estuary to the lovely seaside town of Barmouth. A short drive away is Coed Y Brenin Visitor Centre, great for mountain-biking, walks and running, or visit Cadair Idris, a mountain to rival Snowdon but with less people! It's also well worth the short 20 minute drive to Portmeirion Village and gardens, one of Wales' premier visitor attractions.
