This detached farmhouse, with lovely views towards Cadair Idris, is in a quiet, private location at the end of a short lane, on the edge of the village of Brithdir, 3.5 miles east of Dolgellau within Snowdonia National Park. Wi-fi is provided.

The Cottage: is a traditional farmhouse, which retains much character with beamed ceilings, slate flooring, grandfather clocks and Welsh dressers, but also benefits from contemporary kitchen and bathrooms. 

The Sitting Room: this double aspect room is comfortably furnished with new sofas, traditional Welsh farmhouse furniture, oak beams, original slate floor and a log woodburner (logs provided) in an inglenoook fireplace. The lounge contains a SMART TV and is centrally heated with oil.

The Dining Room/Kitchen: contains a farmhouse table with seating for 5, with an antique Welsh dresser and homegrown oak flooring. The kitchen has slate flooring, bespoke oak kitchen units and larder cupboard, traditional style open shelving and hanging racks. The kitchen includes a double electric oven, ceramic hob, microwave, washing machine, fridge/freezer and slim dishwasher. 

There is also a ground floor cloakroom with WC off the rear porch.

Upstairs are three bedrooms,

Bedroom1: a double with en suite shower room. This room contains comfortable double bed and quality furniture, it also contains an original feature fireplace. Oak floor. Rural views.

Bedroom 2: a second double bedroom, containing double bed, solid furniture for storage and bedside tables with oak floor. The mountains of south Snowdonia and Cadair Idris van be seen in the view from the window.

Bedroom 3: twin beds, oak floors, storage space and rural views.

Family bathroom: with bath, overhead shower, WC and washbasin.   

Exterior: Ample private parking. The enclosed garden to the rear, with garden furniture and barbecue, has views of Cadair Idris. Guests have access to 35 acres of the owners' hill farm, with woodland walks, and salmon and trout fishing on the River Wnion. Bike storage available.

Dolgellau, 3.5 miles away, has a range of shops, pubs and eating places, small supermarket and theatre, weekly market and regular Farmer's Market. This is an excellent location for walking, mountain biking at nearby Coed y Brenin, and for touring the many sights of the south Snowdonia National Park and coastline.

Spent a lovely 3 days here and it felt like home from the moment i walked in. Very clean and tidy and the surrounding views are beautiful. Im already looking forward to returning in the summer.
