Located in the village of Mynytho, just 3 miles from the popular coastal destinations of Llanbedrog and Abersoch, Bryn Refail Bach is a fully renovated cottage that retains character charm while offering modern luxuries including WiFi and a hot tub.

Most of the accommodation is on the ground floor and the traditional and modern blend seamlessly to create a cosy and stylish space. The lounge features an exposed beams and a electric log effect fire in the big inglenook, corner sofa and stool and a wall-mounted TV with Freeview. The dining area with bench and chair seating around the table also benefits from a wall-mounted Freeview TV and a couple of steps lead up to the modern kitchen area with double electric oven and hob, dishwasher and integrated high-level microwave. There are two charming double bedrooms, the smaller of which has the bed against two walla, and a family bathroom with a bath, separate shower cubicle, WC, basin and heated towel rail; there are some low door frames and also restricted headroom on the first floor.

Up the stairs from the lounge is a small twin bedroom with low level beds due to the restricted headroom. The space is made the most of with a central bedside table and open shelves in the eaves. An ideal space for older children and make sure you mind your heads!

The main feature of the closed patio to the front of the cottage is the 6 seater hot tub, covered by a wooden gazebo with a bar, 4 stools and a table top barbecue. There is also a large changing room with shower, basin and WC, as well as this you have outdoor furniture to sit and enjoy the panoramic views towards the sea and a large grassed field perfect for playing and plenty of off-road parking.

Really enjoyed our stay here: comfortable, well equipped cottage with scenic views. Thoroughly enjoyed the hot tub. There was no mention of a washing machine or hairdryer in the description, but these were included. The hot tub hadn’t been cleaned on arrival but was quickly sorted out after asking. The ceilings are low so wouldn’t be a great place to stay if you’re tall - I’m only 5’7 and have a pretty bumped head! The 3rd bedroom is very small, was perfect for up to 2 children.
