Set in a unique Victorian village with its own private and secluded beach, escape to this peaceful seaside hideaway to enjoy breathtaking sea, mountain and forest views from almost every window, and explore everything the scenic side of the northern coast of the Llyn Peninsula has to offer.

You won’t feel too far away from your rugged surroundings in the L-shaped open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner adorned with a colour palette of greens and natural earthy tones, perfectly reflecting your wild surrounding scenery. With no TV, disconnect from the outside world and reconnect with loved ones by relaxing on the comfy leather sofas, cooking a locally sourced feast in the kitchen or enjoying a games night around the handmade dining table. The underfloor heating throughout the ground floor, and the king-size bedroom on this floor, is a welcome treat to tired walking toes. Indulge in superb sea views across the three bedrooms upstairs, which are just as charming as the ground floor. Outside, there’s a shared lawn and patio for you to soak up the magnificent sea views. From the grounds, you can venture along the winding path that leads you to a private pebbled beach with a café.

The Victorian former quarrying village of Nant Gwrtheyrn is steeped in history, home to the Heritage Centre, which houses displays about the Welsh language and wildlife, preserving the rich unspoilt culture this area has to offer. Thrill seekers can enjoy a fun-filled family day out at Glasfryn Parc just under 6 miles away to dive into a range of water sports including wakeboarding and paddleboarding, as well as archery, crazy golf and ten-pin bowling. From the grounds surrounding the cottage, join up with the walking trail to lead down to an idyllic private beach and catch some stunning, picturesque sunsets before bedtime.

The steep but well surfaced road is an interesting introduction to this remote and historical village and takes you away from the hustle and bustle of modern life into a peaceful world of relaxed existence which is so difficult to find these days.

The accommodation was very basic, the bathrooms felt like we were in a hostel they were so basic. The accommodation was very tired and definitely not the 4* rating you gave it. The location was amazing. We have previously booked with original cottages so would consider booking with you again. You definitely need to check the properties before giviRead moreng 4* ratings Hide

Lovely location but getting to the beach was quite a struggle. Shame the cafe does not open earlier so guests could have breakfast. Small bits of maintenance required in cottage - upstairs toilet kept running and window in front, single bedroom wouldn't open but you should be proud of what has been achieved from ruins. Would love to see a map/modelRead more showing where the old road was and if any of your old photos could be overlayed onto current pictures to get a better sense of how it was and where Hide

The Cutlery and cutlery tray were not clean and had to be cleaned upon arrival There were ants in the property The floors had clumps of dust in the corners But however the towels, bedding and bathrooms were very clean which out weighed everything else
