The middle and largest cottage of a group of three converted from a former long, Barn 2 (with its Cow design on the name above the door) is a contemporary property providing comfortable accommodation for a family, who may be accompanied by their four-legged friend. This attractive stone building is beautifully enhanced by a covered porch/patio area to the front, enclosed by stone walls, with decorative planting. Internally, the property has electric heaters in each room.
Barn 2 can be booked for family groups in conjuntion with Barn 1 (WAY224 - sleeps 4) and Barn 3 (WAY226 - sleeps 2). No single sex groups and the properties are not suitable for all adult groups.
Entrance: into a small hallway, with the staircase rising to the first floor.
Living Room: open plan living room with three sofas, Freeview TV, coffee tables; dining area with farmhouse-style table and six chairs; fitted kitchen area with electric cooker, fridge freezer and microwave.
First Floor Landing: spacious landing area ideal for kids to play; sofabed and armchair.
Bedroom 1: with double bed and full range of furniture.
Bedroom 2: with two single beds, bedside tables with drawers.
Bedroom 3: with two single beds – one full sized and one shorter single bed (5’6” approx.).
Shower Room: with electric shower in cubicle, WC, basin, heated towel rail.
NOTE: all bedrooms and shower room have sloping ceilings and some limited headroom; bedroom 1 is situated above Barn 3 (single storey property).
Outside: small enclosed patio area to the front of the property with garden table, benches and chairs. Shared access to owners’ field for exercising dogs and children.
Parking: large shared gravelled parking area to the front of the group of cottages.
Utility Area: undercover shared utility area at the end of the group of cottages, with coin-operated washing machine and coin-operated tumble dryer.
Set in a quiet area, surrounded by grazing farmland, yet within easy distance of the town facilities of Ystradgynlais, this comfortable cottage is just outside the southern edge of the Brecon Beacons National Park. Excellent walking in the area, with local footpaths and longer routes to explore. Many woodland walks and waterfalls in the nearby valleys, including Henrhyd Falls at Coelbren, famous as a movie set for Batman, Dark Knight Rises and Game of Thrones. Craig-y-Nos Country Park, Carreg Cennen Castle, Aberdulais Falls and Ironworks and many other attractions in the surrounding area. The cities of Swansea and Cardiff, as well as sandy beaches at Aberavon and Porthcawl, are also just a short drive away.
