Set in the heart of Cardiff Bay, it has numerous restaurants, bars, cafes and shops on its doorstep, not to mention the Millennium Centre, cinema, casino and much more. The city centre including the Millennium Stadium, popular bars, restaurants, shops and clubs also within easy reach.

Cardiff Bay self catering lodge is located right in the Centre of Cardiff Bay and within a 1 minute walk of the Wales Millennium Centre & Mermaid Quay with its numerous restaurants, trendy bars, galleries and shops. Also close to your large group accommodation, Cardiff Bay's Red Dragon Centre offers a multi-screen cinema, bars, nightclub and Casino. The City Centre including attractions such as the Millennium Stadium, Cardiff Castle, St. Davids 2 etc is only a 20 minute walk away or you have the option of excellent public transport links to whisk you into the city centre.

Cardiff Bay is Europe's most exciting waterfront development. You'll find here a diverse mix of internationally acclaimed visitor attractions, activities and entertainment, coupled with vibrant, cosmopolitan bars, shops and restaurants all situated around the magnificent freshwater lake, giving Cardiff's waterfront a truly unique atmosphere worthy of any capital city. With world-class stadiums for rugby, football, cricket, athletics and an International Sports Village, it is easy to see why Cardiff has gained its reputation as a sporting city.

Water Sports

The Cardiff International White Water Centre (CIWW) offers canoeing, white water rafting, kayaking, hydro speed and hot-dogging. (All equipment can be provided). 0.3 miles

Walking

A walk along the Cardiff Bay Barrage offers fantastic views across the Bay. 0.2 miles.

Fishing

Being a coastal city the areas around Cardiff have some superb sea fishing. Charter boats can be hired from Cardiff Bay. 0.3 miles

The river Taff is a recovering Salmon river that also holds huge stocks of wild trout and Grayling. Day Tickets available from local associations. 0.1 miles.

Golf

There are many courses in the area including the prestigious Celtic Manor, host to the 2010 Ryder Cup. 18 miles. One of the closest courses is Cottrell Park, an idyllic venue set in the heart of 400 acres of beautiful Parkland. 8 miles.

Cycling

The Taff Trail is a multi-purpose route between Cardiff and the Market Town of Brecon in the North. 55 miles (88km) in length, it is a superb way to see South Wales. 0.1 miles

Pony trekking

Cardiff Riding School is surrounded by 35 acres of parkland close to the City Centre and all aspects of horse riding and care are catered for. 3.4 miles

Beaches

With the Glamorgan Heritage Coast just around the corner there are numerous beaches, ranging from the bustling resort of Barry Island (9 miles) to the more peaceful and stunning beach at Southerndown (24miles).
