The cottage is well situated in the centre of the town. Wonderful views from the cottage, the cottage is well presented. The owner Colin Williams was very helpful, I would like to return sometime in the future.
I had an amazing time at the property, would visit again, loved it.
This former farmer's cottage is in a row of terraced cottages and one of the first built in the old town of Llantrisant. The town has a rich history and is also the home of the Royal Mint. There is also a shopping centre in Talbot Green less than 1/2 a mile away. Llantrisant has a great history, including Roman and Norman invasions. The Longbowmen from the town were renowned for their battle skills and played key roles in many conflicts including the Battle of Crecy in 1346. Dr William Price is also from the town and was a cult figure in Welsh History. An arch druid, surgeon and a revolutionary figure, he was the founder of cremation in modern day Britain.
Only 20 mins away is the city of Cardiff where events are held throughout the year, including music concerts, the 6 Nations Rugby Tournament, international and club football matches, international cricket games, half and full marathons, triathlons, Speedway and many more.
In the area, the Royal Mint Experience is a great attraction and well worth a visit, while the restored Victorian 'Lido' at Pontypridd, Rhondda Heritage Park and Bike Park Wales are among other popular attractions. The Brecon Beacons National Park is only 25 minutes drive away.
Along the Glamorgan Heritage Coast there are numerous beaches including Barry Island, Ogmore and a stunning beach at Southerndown. 17 miles.
Nearby courses include the Vale Resort (3.4 miles) and the prestigious Celtic Manor. The Closest course is Llantrisant and Pontyclun Golf Club 1.1 miles.
There are forest trails within a mile and Bike Park Wales offers superb mountain biking. 14 miles.
