Wake up to the smell of sea air in this coastal bolthole in the pretty village of Mumbles. Sleeping four guests, the property makes a lovely couples’ retreat or base for a small family, with a spacious, open-plan living area and a beautiful lawned garden where children can play. In the heart of the village, you’ll find some excellent local eateries, as well as a picturesque Victorian pier and medieval castle.

The stone-fronted fisherman’s cottage has a homely vibe, with artwork adorning the walls and sumptuous soft furnishings for a comfortable stay. The open-plan lounge/diner is flooded with natural light, thanks to two bay windows, and has plump sofas to relax on to watch the Smart TV and a dining table with fabulous sea views. A kitchen and utility room complete the ground floor. Upstairs, two elegant bedrooms await, decorated in tones to reflect the surrounding landscape. Choose from an inviting king-size or a cosy twin. A stylish shower room rounds off this delightful seaside retreat. Outside, there is a small garden to the front with a side entrance to the cottage and a large garden to the rear, with a lawn, pretty flowers and shrubs, and a sunny patio.

The stretch of coastline around Mumbles has some of Wales’s finest beaches. Just 1 mile away is Langland Bay, which is a real hotspot for surfers and water sports enthusiasts. It also boasts a great range of cafes and restaurants to refuel in after a day at the beach. From here, you can follow the rugged coast path to explore the hidden coves and tucked-away beaches of the Gower Peninsula. We've stayed at Daisy Cottage twice before, and hope to return again. It is cosy, comfortable and clean - a real home from home. It's perfectly situated on the edge of Swansea Bay, with many beautiful places to visit locally. We had a wonderful week's holiday.

general cleanliness was fine but a few key areas missed (1 toilet and sink). Good scores because accommodation was very comfortable and facilities very good.

Overall very good. Spacious cottage and handy location with parking. On main road and quite noisy ("boy racers" until early hours) needing bedroom windows closed. We were suprised to find scafffolding/building work next door. Luckily we were out most of the day so not affected by the noise. Came home to find bulding debris (wood/packaging) in the dRead moreriveway. It would have been nice if Original Cottages had informed us and given an option to change/cancel. Hide

There are extensive building works going on next door which can be intrusive. No mention of this on the website. The second bedroom is probably only suitable for children. Beds not very comfortable. I have a bad hip at the moment and found access quite difficult. Anyone with a physical disability could have real difficulty accessing the property paRead morerticularly via the steps and and uneven path to the rear. Perhaps this should be mentioned in the description. Some of the skirting boards and radiators are not clean. Finally, the leak to the roof was fixed as arranged on the Saturday morning but the bucket remained, wired to the piping in the second bedroom, and hanging ominously over the head of anyone sleeping in the right hand bed as you enter the room Hide
