This charming property, situated on the doorstep of Mumbles Hill Local Nature Reserve, is the perfect seaside bolthole for couples and families. Sleeping four over three tranquil bedrooms filled with exposed beams and stone walls, this cottage offers a home-from-home feel with everything you could need for a coastal getaway. Head off down the footpaths at the nature reserve for spectacular views, or enjoy partial sea views sitting out at the front of the house with your favourite tipple in the evening.

The property, which is situated at the top of a steep hill, has a cosy and welcoming feel. The lovely cottage kitchen is fresh and bright with everything you need to cook up a storm, while the open-plan living area invites you to snuggle up on the sofas in front of the wood burner, watching your favourite show on TV or reading a book. Take an invigorating shower in the fantastic shower room with stunning exposed stone walls and steps leading up to the shower, or take a relaxing soak in the first-floor bathroom that has pretty coastal touches to remind your of your seaside location.

It’s just half a mile through the nature reserve to get to Mumbles Beach, while the Victorian pier and Pier Head are just 1 mile away. For more golden sands, visit Langland Bay (1.5 miles) or Caswell Bay (2 miles), which is popular with surfers. Head into Swansea for lots of family fun; try the interactive displays at National Waterfront Museum, or feed crocodiles and learn about rainforest animals at Plantasia Tropical Zoo (both 6.5 miles). There are plenty of walking routes for all abilities in the area, including a simple 1.3-mile loop along Mumbles seafront or a more challenging 6.5-mile loop from West Cross (2.5 miles) to Bracelet Bay (1 mile).

Off loading and loading up the car is very difficult on this very steep one way lane. Dog walking is superb and the view from the Nature Reserve is outstanding.
