An inviting hideaway on the brink of the Gower Peninsula, this one-bedroom cottage offers a lovely bolthole for two to get away together. This chalet-style accommodation has got it all – it’s within walking distance of one of the area’s most bustling beaches, offers plenty of attractions close by and is super-comfortable both indoors and out. Expertly equipped for stays throughout the year, you can enjoy getting cosy indoors when cold weather strikes or make the most of the suntrap decking throughout the warmer months. Either way, French doors expertly fitted between the patio and lounge ensure that you can admire the far-reaching views, whatever the weather brings.

Step through the patio doors to reach the hub of the house, its open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner. Sympathetically decorated in gentle shades of nautical blue, this sunny room presents a superb place to relax. For self-catering, the compact kitchen is tucked away around the corner and a dining table awaits mealtimes. The lounge is furnished with a sofa bed facing a wall-mounted TV, ideal for providing a versatile sleeping space or creating a cosy spot to curl up together whilst watching a favourite film. As night falls, relocate into the double bedroom that’s just next door and enjoy a solid eight hours of uninterrupted rest.

With a popular golf course just 1 mile away and the surfer’s beach of Caswell Bay less than half a mile, you’re certain to discover plenty of things to do in the surrounding area. For hikers and sightseers, the heritage and history of the surrounding Gower Peninsula lie waiting to be explored. Lace up your walking boots to visit Pennard Castle (5 miles), Weobley Castle (11 miles) or the mystical King Arthur’s Stone (8.5 miles) or follow a coastal path route as far as Devil’s Bridge to trek along the mighty causeway (17 miles).

The owner was very considerate and helpful, however there was a pervading musty smell even after all windows were opened which lasted all week. The bathroom was smaller than expected with not enough room for us but could well be ok for someone else.
