Ty Hyfryd is a deceptively large, pet friendly family home on Plunch Lane in Thistleboon, a popular residential area of Mumbles lying between the beaches of Langland and Limeslade. Ty Hyfryd means beautiful house and whilst this is true it certainly also is a  spacious family holiday home.

Sleeping 11, the property caters well for children thanks to a fun kids' bunk room, but with a maximum of 7 adults. There are 4 further bedrooms, one providing ease of access on the ground floor, with 3 bathrooms in the house, plus one garage ‘wet room’, perfect when returning from the beach. As well as two sitting rooms, an open kitchen and dining area, and a practical back garden and sun deck, there’s also an EV charging point accessed from the large front parking area.

It offers a family or large group a combination of fun and function with the option to walk in either direction to reach the rocky bays of Limeslade and Bracelet, great for rock-pooling and on to the Pier at Mumbles Head, or around the coastal path to the sandy delights of Rotherslade and Langland.

A giant playground is a stone's throw away, not to forget the Castellamare restaurant, pizza cafe and ice cream parlour with another little gem of a cafe, Fortes, even closer. For more restaurants, shops, pubs and galleries, its less than a mile to the seafront area at Mumbles Village and on a sunny Sunday afternoon, there’s always Mumbles Cricket Club, just 50 metres up the road, where you can enjoy a cold drink from the bar while enjoying the thump of willow on leather.

Fantastic area, very comfortable home and well equipped. Amazing beaches!

Mrs C,

Great property for a three generation holiday (reunion!) It very comfortably slept 8 of us and was in a good position for heading into Mumbles and out to the Gower beaches. We are well-acquainted with Gower as our son studied at Swansea uni and has stayed in the area but still discovered more beautiful places. Stunning coastal walks (including spotting a seal), surfing at Caswell and Llangennith, al fresco dinner at Verdi’s, swimming at Horton and Pobbles Bay and thé pièce de resistance - midnight swim in bioluminescence under incredible starry skies - unforgettable! A week on Gower is so precious I’m loathe to write a review - we don’t want everyone discovering the magic!

Mrs B,

Large, spacious well-equipped property in a great location. Lovely garden too. Perfect accommodation for our group of 8 people and one dog.

Mrs T,

A very comfortable, well located property. The WiFi wasn't the best, but some people prefer that.Everything we needed was here and very close to coastal path and walking distance to Mumbles busy shopping area. Will return.

Mrs S,

A well positioned house which is ideal for family & larger group breaks. The cottage is comfortable & well appointed with all the kitchen equipment you'll need to feel at home. 2 lounges & the outside garden / deck means that there is plenty of space & you don't feel cramped. Lots of hot water, good showers, comfortable beds, media equipment & the use of equipment in the garage was very welcome. Lots to do within walking distance & short drives away within this beautiful area of the Gower.

Mr M,

A very well-equipped, comfortable property with a lovely relaxed feel which we enjoyed, even more than anticipated. All descriptions of the property were very accurate and it is extremely well presented. Our holiday was enhanced by a straightforward booking process together with clear and detailed information throughout. It is clear from the visitor book that the owner responds positively to any suggestions made.

Mrs T,
