Ideal for ramblers, cyclists and nature lovers, this self-contained holiday retreat is part of the owner’s farmhouse near Welshmoor Common, and sits in 100 acres of woodland and grassland, perfect for discovering the Loughor Estuary and Llanrhidian Marsh.

This bright, friendly cottage features a spacious and airy open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner with exposed ceiling beams and patio doors allowing plenty of light to stream in. The sweet lounge has a wood burner and plenty of seating, perfect for relaxing in at the end of a great day. There’s a farmhouse-style dining table and a sleek, beautifully organised kitchen. The ground floor also features a handy shower room. Upstairs you will have a choice of bedrooms – please confirm when booking. There’s a cheerful double room with an en-suite shower room, or a colourful twin room with access to the main bathroom. Patio doors open from the lounge onto the large back garden which features a big lawn and a lovely patio area with outdoor furniture, offering a tranquil space to sit back, dine alfresco and take in the views towards the River Loughor.

A fantastic area for keen walkers, Llanrhidian (2.5 miles) has a welcoming pub, with other nearby landmarks including Cilifor Top, North Hill Tor, Weobley Castle and Whiteford National Nature Reserve, all within 6.5 miles. Along the southern coast you can head to beautiful beaches including Oxwich Bay, Three Cliffs Bay and Port Eynon, all within 9 miles.
