This stylishly decorated, tastefully updated traditional cottage is a wonderful retreat for couples, friends and smaller families seeking a tranquil holiday home within easy reach of the northern coast of the Gower Peninsula. Providing fresh, airy and relaxing accommodation for up to four guests, the property can be made up to offer a double and twin room, or two twin rooms. Featuring a cosy wood burner, timber beams and stunning views from the garden, the cottage is a wonderful base for ramblers, cyclists and nature lovers. Part of the owner’s farmhouse near Welshmoor Common, this spacious self-contained annexe lies within 100 acres of farmland, woodland and grassland, ideal for exploring the Loughor Estuary and Llanrhidian Marsh.

The fresh open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner has exposed ceiling beams and a cosy wood burner. With plenty of seating and patio doors allowing light to stream in, the lounge is an ideal space to unwind in. The farmhouse-style dining table and the fully equipped kitchen are perfect for preparing and sharing your favourite meals. The ground floor also has a useful shower room. Going upstairs you will have a choice of two bedrooms – please confirm when booking. There’s a delightful double room with an en-suite shower room, and two sweet, relaxing twin bedrooms accessing the main bathroom. From the lounge, patio doors lead out into the back garden with its large lawn and a handy patio area with outdoor furniture, making an idyllic spot for enjoying some stunning views.

The village of Llanrhidian (2.5 miles) has a friendly pub, with other local landmarks including North Hill Tor, Cilifor Top, Weobley Castle and Whiteford National Nature Reserve, all within 6.5 miles. Heading to the south coast you can spend a day on gorgeous beaches including Oxwich Bay, Three Cliffs Bay and Port Eynon, all within 9 miles.

The property was very comfortable, but a little tired in regards to towels/bedding. The beds (particularly the double) was very creaky and a little uncomfortable. However this didnt interfere with a wonderful holiday.
