Property code: OC-HH486

Explore the scenic Gower Peninsula from this appealing, stone barn conversion in Cilonen, close to Three Crosses. Sleeping four guests, the two-bedroom holiday home offers accommodation across a single storey and features an enclosed courtyard garden with views out over the countryside. The property is well located for country walks, days out on picture-postcard beaches and trips into the bustling city of Swansea.

Enter the barn to find attractive accommodation and everything you might need for your stay. Recline on the soft seating in the lounge after your many adventures, watching the TV or chatting together about your day. The kitchen/diner is well-equipped with everything you require to help you prepare hearty meals with the tasty Welsh ingredients you have bought on your excursions. Set the table in here too and call everyone to gather round. When eyelids begin to droop, head off to the family bathroom for a hot bubble bath or shower, then make your way through to either the double bedroom or the twin for a comfortable night’s sleep. Bask in the sunshine out in the courtyard as often as possible, taking in the views. Enjoy a glass of chilled wine out here as the sun goes down. This cottage has private parking.

Head 5.5 miles to spend the afternoon on the beautiful beach at Three Cliffs Bay. Oxwich Bay, 8 miles away, is another very picturesque cove. The popular beaches at Caswell Bay, 8 miles away, and Langland, 9 miles from the cottage, are also attractive for their cafes. The city of Swansea is just 8 miles away. Here you will find an array of family activities, including a water park and tropical zoo, as well as museums, cinemas and theatres. There are also different shopping areas and a wide range of eateries to choose from.

Good location, lovely comfortable cottage, good amount of space, so not cramped. Close to shops and eating places (10 min drive). Not far from the coast and wonderful scenic walks

WE HAVE STAYED HERE BEFORE. THERE ARE ONLY TWO MAIN OBSERVATIONS. FIRSTLY THE COST HAS ESCALATED MORE THAN WE EXPECTED BUT WE HAD TO ACCEPT THIS AS BLUEBELL COTTAGE IS CONVENIENT FOR FAMILY WHO WE WERE VISTING PRE CHRISTMAS. FOR FUTURE VISITS THIS COULD MEAN WE GO ELSEWHERE, UNLESS PRICES ARE MORE REASONABLE. SECOND, THE COMFORT AND QUALITY SCORE Read moreWOULD HAVE BEEN 5, NOT 4, BUT THE LIGHTING ON THE PATHS IN THE DARK WINTER NIGHTS - NO STREETLIGHTS OR MOON - IS NOT AT ALL GOOD. THE PATHS WERE ICY AND SLIPPERY DURING OUR VISIT (-5 DEG C) SO AN ACCIDENT COULD EASILY HAVE OCCURRED. THE LIGHT BY THE DOOR WAS NOT WORKING. THE PATH/CAR PARK LIGHTING IS SOLAR POWERED BUT WITH NO SUN - NO LIGHTS! IT NEEDS PIR MAINS LIGHTING TO BE EFFECTIVE. MANY THANKS. PHIL DAVY Hide
