A romantic bolthole for two, this delightful retreat is situated in the charming seaside town of Bishopston in the Gower Peninsula, a popular destination for those wishing to explore the natural beauty of the Welsh coastline. The village is served by three welcoming pubs and a small supermarket, so you can easily enjoy the local hospitality just a stone’s throw from your doorstep.

Step inside and you’ll find yourselves in the open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner, which is bright and spacious. Dual aspect, thanks to the glass double doors (with access to the courtyard) and window opposite, the room is bathed in light and is a lovely place to spend time preparing for the day’s activities. Sumptuous sofas dominate the space and behind sits a dining table. Adjacent to this is the kitchen which is well equipped and offers all you require to comfortably cater for your stay. There is also a generously sized bathroom. The double bedroom is a light and enticing space, ideal for slow, relaxing mornings with French doors leading to the private courtyard which boasts a compact bistro table, ideal for breakfast alfresco.

Bishopston is well placed to offer convenient access to plenty of the area’s stunning natural attractions; local beaches within walking distance include Caswell Cove (0.5 miles) which is a fabulous sandy beach, Brandy Cove (0.5 miles), accessed via Caswell at low tide, and a little further, Pwll Du Beach (5 miles) is a stunning sheltered cove. For food, drink and traditional seaside attractions, the famous Mumbles is less than 3 miles from the property.

We enjoyed our stay at the Annexe. It wasn't as well equipped as some but for the few days we spent there we had everything we needed. It was a good size and included a table to eat at which is often missing from smaller properties. There was a bath and a shower over it but the shower curtain arrangement was just ok. The location is good and thereRead more are a great many local footpaths and several pubs in easy walking distance. Hide

Clean & Comfortable but not alot of privacy when sitting in the garden as overlooked . Definitely need a car to get about as not very much in the village. One pub walking distance and very over priced.

The handsoap was empty, there was only half a toilet roll and no spare. A light bulb was blown when we arrived. There wasn't a whisk in the kitchen equipment. Some good points were that the water was nice and hot, the shower was good and the bed was comfortable.

Lovely property. Very comfortable. Nicely decorated. Quiet location. Excellent Wi Fi. Pleasant enclosed little garden. Near the beaches. Good kitchen. Excellent cooker. No teapot or cafetiere. These items added to the kitchen would be very welcome. Personally I prefer stainless steel teapot if I had a choice. Excellent holiday. Thank yRead moreou Rhiannon. Hide
