National Nest Box week begins on Valentine’s Day and on 15 February you can come along to the Elan Valley visitor centre and build your own nest box. The following day sees a workshop for creating fairy doors and houses to adorn your garden.
On 16 or 23 February, see if you can spot one of the red squirrels that make Plas Cadnant Hidden Gardens on Anglesey their home as you walk among the thousands of snowdrops.
In North Wales, the Ffestiniog Railway will have two daily trains on most days between Saturday 15th and the end of February. Because of construction work at Porthmadog, these trains will depart and terminate at Minffordd.
