Being Truly Local is at the very heart of what we do and who we are at Wales Cottage Holidays and the wider Original Cottages family. Our staff live all over Wales, work in our local offices around the country and are proud to be part of our wonderful communities. They can often be found supporting local projects and causes or organising events such as beach cleans to support and improve their area. And in 2022 we’re going even further to give back to our communities and support local causes with the launch of the Original Cottages – Wales Community Fund.

Supporting your community

Original Cottages - Wales Community Fund grants offer support to local community projects that are based right here in Wales. Throughout 2022 we will be offering six organisations a grant of up to £250 to help them with a specific project. Whether that be funding to set up a community garden, improving a local children’s play area, purchasing a piece of specialist equipment, hosting a community event, or kitting out a local sports team.

Who can apply?

Our fund is open to charities, schools and community organisations across Wales. They can apply, or be nominated by anyone, for a grant of up to £250. The proposed project must be one that will support a local community within Wales.

Nominate your chosen Welsh organisation or charity for a chance for them to receive a grant of £250
