This property is one of two cosy cottages situated within a large orchard on the Welsh border. With its warming wood burner and large shared garden, it’s the ideal family base, whatever the weather or time of the year.
After a day of exploration, relax and unwind in the cottage lounge, where the wood burner adds to the inviting atmosphere. The well-equipped kitchen/diner has everything you need to make meal times a breeze and there’s also a handy utility room with a washing machine. The cottage offers three bedrooms: one super-king-size with an en-suite shower room, one double, and one king-size zip-and-link bedroom (which can be made into a twin on request) with a Jack and Jill bathroom. Additionally, there’s a separate cloakroom for your convenience. Outside, the large orchard, shared with the adjoining cottage, provides a lovely setting with garden furniture and a BBQ, perfect for enjoying summer evenings.
The village of Overton (1.5 miles) boasts shops, a cafe, a pub, and a garage, while the bustling market town of Wrexham is 12 miles from home. Visit Bangor on Dee (4.5 miles), famous for its racecourse, or enjoy a trip on a horse-drawn canal boat in Llangollen (12 miles). History buffs will enjoy nearby National Trust properties, such as Chirk Castle (8.5 miles) and Erddig (8 miles). Keen walkers will be pleased to find the Maelor Way and Berwyn mountains for hiking adventures, and for a spectacular day out, witness Wales’ highest waterfall, Pistyll Rhaeadr (25 miles), with its impressive 73-meter cascade.
