Watch the rolling waves with your morning cuppa and relish perfect sunsets as you relax in the evening. This lovingly renovated former post office is set close to the beach in the charming village of Tresaith, and welcomes couples and families looking for a special seaside getaway.
The open-plan living space of this reverse-level property has been designed to make the most of fabulous sea views, with picture windows that also bathe the room in natural light and tasteful furnishings that contrast beautifully with a rugged, exposed-stone wall. Prepare delicious meals in the sleek kitchen area and, after you’ve eaten, snuggle up in the comfortable seating and enjoy catching up with the day’s adventures or a programme on the TV. There’s also a window seat for anyone who wants to curl up with a good book. The bedrooms, both of which benefit from en-suite shower rooms, are on the lower-ground floor: a king-size room which has doors to the patio, and a bunk-bed room with an additional single bed. The enclosed patio is a lovely spot in which to admire the sea views with a drink or an al fresco meal.
From the cottage it’s less than 0.5 miles to the village shop, the pub and a small, sandy beach (the setting for the romantic novel ‘A Welsh Witch’) that’s great for surfing and sailing. It also has rock pools and even a waterfall! Follow the coast path for some incredible views, or head out to discover wonderful places to eat, shops, galleries, castles and museums - Aberaeron, New Quay, Newcastle Emlyn and Cardigan, for example, are all within 17 miles. For something different, the Cenarth Falls, 8 miles, is a lovely destination for a walk by the river and a cream tea.
