This welcoming eco-barn is set in beautiful countryside near Pembroke, and offers a beautiful mix of period features with contemporary style. Ideal for a getaway with friends or family, it’s an excellent base for walking, boating, days at the beach and more.
Enjoy the lovely views from this cosy, comfortable property, one of four on a quiet site. Large windows make the most of its rural location; the best place to take in the vistas (and perhaps spot a fox or badger) is the conservatory lounge, which features a high, pitched ceiling and exposed wooden beams. If you feel like a quiet night in, draw the curtains, switch on the wood-burner-effect electric fire and find a programme on the TV or watch a DVD. The kitchen/diner has all you’ll need to prepare hearty breakfasts and tasty suppers, with a farmhouse-style table where you can take out a map or play a game of cards. The three bedrooms – a double (with a TV) and two twins – are all on the same level, as are the bathroom and the separate shower room. To the back of the barn is a private patio, furnished for al fresco dining or drinks in the sunshine, while at the front there’s a shared lawn that overlooks the river. For those keen on boating, the complex also boasts a slipway to the Cleddau Estuary.
Located just outside the village of Hundleton, the barn is surrounded by tranquil countryside, a variety of wildlife and an abundance of walks, including the spectacular Pembrokeshire coastal path. You can reach the fabulous Barafundle Bay Beach in 6 miles (with a 0.5 mile walk at the end), while vibrant Tenby is around 13 miles and charming Saundersfoot is 14 miles. Closer to home, the Norman castle of Pembroke is just 2.5 miles.
