This cosy cottage has spectacular views and is set in a peaceful village in the Snowdonia National Park, perfect for couples, friends and families to enjoy a get-away-from-it-all escape with walks and cycle trails from the door. Enjoy al fresco dining in the summer and cosy evenings by the wood burners in the winter.
Once a miner’s cottage, this sweet getaway combines original features with modern amenities. The lounge, dining room and kitchen are open plan, each area flowing into the next. First, comfortable seating is gathered around a wood burner and a Smart TV – perfect for a quiet night in. Then, the farmhouse-style dining table is set next to another wood burner - a lovely spot in which to linger after supper and plan your next day’s activities. At the far end, overlooking the garden, the kitchen has a modern style and is designed to make preparing holiday meals quick and easy. When you’re ready for bed, head upstairs to find two bedrooms, one with a king-size bed and Smart TV, and the other with bunk-beds for two and an additional single bed. They share a shower room and separate WC. In the south-facing garden, you can take in the fabulous views from the bench seat or set the table to dine al fresco, perhaps grilling some local delicacies on the BBQ.
The cottage is located on the outskirts of the sleepy village of Penmachno, where you’ll find a welcoming pub, small shop and cycle trail centre. Betws-y-Coed, the ‘gateway to Snowdonia’, is just 4 miles away. This lovely village boasts a range of shops and places to eat, and from here you can access the mountains as well as adrenaline activities at Zip World Fforest, 5.5 miles, including zip lines, treetop nets and Europe’s highest giant swing.
