A brilliantly equipped shepherd’s hut set right on the border of England and Wales boasting superb views and a spacious terrace. This eco-friendly home is perfect for a couple or two friends looking to get their legs moving along the abundance of nearby walking routes.
Though the shepherd’s hut is small, it is perfectly formed, with wood-cladded walls and colourful decor – it’s a welcoming space for you to enjoy with your loved one. You will have everything you need for a practical stay with a lovely kitchenette complete with gas oven and hob, a warming wood burner set in front of a seating area, a roll-out, two-seater dining table, and a raised built-in double bed in front of a window, which means you can enjoy the mountain views as soon as you wake up. A private shower room and eco WC are situated just outside the hut. Outside is a fabulous, spacious terrace, where you can get cosy with a blanket and a sundowner, admiring the far-reaching views and reflecting on the day’s events.
Guests to this hut are welcome to explore the acres of grounds surrounding the property and there is an abundance of walking routes nearby too. Head off along Offa’s Dyke Trail (4 miles) which passes through varied landscapes and has beautiful views or visit the cascading Water Break-its-Neck waterfall (8 miles). If you fancy spending a day perusing the shops and markets, literary town Hay-on-Wye is 17 miles away, or Ludlow and Rhayader are 24 miles away.
