This charming property, situated in a secluded spot just outside the village of Penparc, is perfect for you and your guests. Sleeping four over two tranquil bedrooms, this pretty cottage is ideal for access to the Pembrokeshire Coast Path, just 1.5 miles away, for wonderful scenic walks. Spend the day on Abereiddy Beach (3.5 miles) with its stunning blue lagoon before returning home and enjoying an al fresco drink in the garden, looking out towards the sea.
As you come up to the cottage via a few steps, you’ll reach the decked area and seating that’s perfect for your morning coffee; throw open the bifold doors to the sunroom for a fabulous inside/outside feel. The sunroom leads to the cosy open-plan living area where beautiful exposed stone walls and a wood burner in an inglenook fireplace invite you to get comfortable on the sofas in front of the TV and relax after a long day of exploration. The kitchen is just behind you and has everything you need to cook up a storm. At bedtime, sink into bed in the double or twin rooms; both have whitewashed stone walls and lovely wooden furniture. A contemporary bathroom with separate shower completes the ground floor, while a traditional ‘crog loft’ sits above on a mezzanine level and is perfect for relaxing with a good book looking out at the fields and coastline.
Head off to Aberfelin Beach (2 miles) to take the little ones rock pooling; catch the low tide to reveal an intriguing archway. Other beaches such as Abercastle (2 miles) and Abermawr (6.5 miles) are also worth a visit, while Dr Beynon’s Bug Farm (6 miles) is ideal for inquisitive kids. Grab a hearty meal at the local pub (1 mile), or try Porthgain (2.5 miles) for fish and chips.
