Find your own personal paradise when you stay at this enticing shepherd’s hut in scenic Mid Wales. Sleeping just two guests and set in 4 beautiful acres of land, the heavenly hideaway is the perfect place for a romantic escape. Positioned on a smallholding near Glan-y-Nant, 3 miles from Llanidloes, the delightful hideaway offers the perfect opportunity to get close to nature. Wander through the orchard and beside the River Severn; return from days out exploring the picturesque Hafren Valley to bask beside the wood burner or fire pit.

Climb the wooden steps to enter this beautiful bolthole, which has been creatively designed to offer everything you need within one bijou space. The attractive open-plan lounge/kitchen/bedroom has underfloor heating yet also features a wood burner to stoke up on autumn and winter evenings. Prepare tasty meals with fresh farm produce in the kitchen area then dine together inside at the breakfast bar or out in the sunshine. Treat yourselves to a sumptuous night’s sleep in the cosy double bed then awake to enjoy a steaming shower in the shower room, which also has an eco WC. Spill out into the fresh air to make the most of your gorgeous outside space on fine days. Grill lunch on the BBQ, fish in the river at the end of the garden and light the fire pit in the evening. Wander around the small holding to see the animals and look out for wildlife.

Head into Llanidloes to go shopping, dine out and visit the town’s museum. Walk 2.5 miles to magnificent Llyn Clywedog, with its glorious scenery. Walk along the shores of the reservoir and see the impressive dam. Absolutely loved this shepherd's hut - perfect for a simple, quiet getaway/retreat in lovely surroundings and very well insulated so barely needed wood stove and electric heater in late September. Wonderful weekend getaway, fantastic hosts. The Shepard's Hut was luxury glamping with ensuite, WiFi and electricity. The location was absolutely stunning, just remote enough, right beside the river with beautiful views across fields and rolling hills. Perfect for pure relaxation.

We had a wonderful stay at the shepherd's hut, the location was absolutely stunning. Bed was very comfortable and although the hut is small, we had everything we needed. The lovely hosts welcomed us with a homemade lemon drizzle cake which was delicious. Would highly recommend!
