Gather a gang for a getaway in Wales. Located just outside the charming coastal village of Fairbourne and close to Penygader, residents of this property will be able to enjoy the sea, the mountains and each other’s company. You’ll be staying in a former farmhouse with a picturesque stone exterior; there’s space for eight guests and their two canine companions.
As you enter the property, you’ll find a hallway with a kitchen on the left. The decor honours the building’s history through the exposed brick and wood, and it’s full of everything you might need to cook up a feast. Return to the hall and take the door to the scullery, which has storage space and also functions as a games room – challenge your loved ones to a billiards tournament! The third doorway from the hall leads to a lounge/diner, a grand room with an oil fire, and another door leading to the second hallway. From here, you can access the downstairs WC, the second lounge (complete with an open fire), and a staircase. Head upstairs for the bedrooms. There’s a double bedroom with a freestanding bath and an en-suite WC; a king-size bedroom with an electric fire and an en-suite shower room; and then two twin bedrooms. The interior is finished by a family shower room. Go to the garden, which is enclosed by a wall. It’s a nice spot for summer afternoons as you fire up the charcoal BBQ and stretch out in the shaded dining area.
You’ll be staying about 2 miles from Arthog, a charming Welsh village with beautiful waterfalls and lots of walks. Alternatively, head to Fairbourne (2.5 miles away), a coastal village with a lovely beach and some eateries. Adventurous guests should visit Penygader (15 miles away) for a mountain hike.
