Enjoy the best of beautiful West Wales from your base in this lovely, character cottage with a delightful rural location. The converted coach house sleeps four guests, and two dogs are also warmly welcome. Ideal for a family or couples sharing, it is set on a working farm just 2 miles from the colourful market town of Narberth. There’s a wealth of independent local food shops and restaurants, while golden beaches and wonderful walks on the glorious Pembrokeshire coastline are within 10 miles.
Original ceiling beams and vaulted bedroom ceilings are a backdrop to the cottage’s charming interior. A vintage clock tells the time in the airy farmhouse kitchen, with a pretty dining table and French windows opening onto the garden patio. Unwind on cosy sofas before the wood burner in the lounge and at bedtime head upstairs to the two bedrooms, a double and a twin, with lovely decor. A stylish family bathroom completes this floor. Outside, enjoy country views from garden furniture and a BBQ on the enclosed patio. The lawn, a large hot tub and children’s play area are shared with three other holiday cottages on the farm.
Enjoy a stroll around Narberth’s specialist shops, selling antiques and crafts, and explore the town museum. There’s family fun for all ages at Oakwood Theme Park (4.5 miles), and you can walk through wildflower meadows in the National Trust’s lovely, 8-acre Colby Woodland Garden (5.5 miles). Children can build dens and play in the stream, and there is a tearoom. Ever-popular historic Tenby (10 miles) and lively Saundersfoot (8 miles) offer wide expanses of sheltered sand, water sports and boat trips. Be sure to see magnificent Carew Castle and Tidal Mill (10 miles).
