Switch off, relax and recharge with a stay at this charming cottage, in which original features mingle with modern amenities. With gorgeous rural views, a wood burner and walks from the door, it’s ideal for a getaway with family or friends at any time of the year.
Before you let yourselves through the door of this lovely holiday destination, take the time to turn around and admire the stunning countryside view. Once inside, you can head into either the comfortable lounge, where there’s plenty of seating and a Smart TV, or the dining room, which also has a squashy sofa and a wood burner – another lovely spot for a cosy night in, playing games after supper or recounting your day’s adventures. The kitchen leads off the dining room, and has plenty of cupboard and worktop space for all your culinary needs, and there’s also a handy utility room with a dishwasher, washing machine and shower. When you’re feeling tired, head up to the first floor and its choice of four bedrooms, which share a family bathroom. There are two doubles and two twins, all prettily decorated and with lovely wooden furniture. To really enjoy the stunning views, head outside and relax on the bench, positioned so that you can gaze towards the Black Mountains. And for drinks and meals in the fresh air, you can use the BBQ and seating on the enclosed patio.
The cottage is located on the owner’s 400-acre farm in the Bannau Brycheiniog National Park, and is surrounded by scenic walks. If you want to be more adventurous you can hire a mountain bike, ride a horse, sail or even go caving. For a family day out, Tretower Court and Castle is just 2.5 miles away, and the National Showcaves Centre for Wales is 31.5 miles.
