For a really special occasion, visit this 5-star property in North Wales. Celebrate anniversaries and birthdays with all your loved ones (and the dogs) in a detached period house, originally from the early 20th century and refurbished in 2019. Set over three levels, there’s space for all 14 guests to come together and have a wonderful time.
Enter the property and find a hallway. There’s a staircase to one side, but for now, take a look at the kitchen, which connects to the diner via glass doors. The kitchen itself has flagstone floors, an AGA and a table. The dining room can seat everyone and has an open fire with a cosy nook. Look in at the lounge, which is light and airy, with wooden finishes and a grandfather clock. During the day, you’ll have a gorgeous view through the bay window, and in the evening, light up the open fire. The ground floor also has a utility area with laundry facilities, a shower room, and a games room with table football. Head upstairs to the first floor, where there are two king-size bedrooms, one double bedroom, and one flexible bedroom which can either be made up with a super-king bed or as a twin. Additionally, there’s a family bathroom. Continue to the second floor for the remaining bedrooms – two king-size rooms and another flexible zip-and-link room, plus two shower rooms. These stairs lead to a landing which also functions as a lounge and library. The garden is surrounded by a hedge and has a charcoal BBQ and a table.
The closest village is Corris, which is 2.5 miles away and has some charming and unusual shops. If you fancy a day at the coast, visit Llwyngwril, 18.5 miles away. Alternatively, head to Penygader, 6 miles away, which is great for hiking and mountain biking.
