Stunning converted coach house with direct access to the Brecon Beacons and the Taff Trail cycling path, perfectly positioned for exploring the natural beauty of the region.

This rural retreat is on the outskirts of the small village of Groesffordd, just 3 miles from Brecon. The property welcomes seven guests and is ideal for families and groups of friends who enjoy an outdoor lifestyle. The area is awash with scenic walking trails, including along the Taff Trail, through the Black Mountains, and following long-distance routes such as the Offa’s Dyke Path. Cantref Adventure Farm is just 6.5 miles away for a fun family day out.

The converted coach house is full of character, with beamed ceilings and traditional furniture. Enter the property into the spacious lounge, where a collection of comfortable sofas and armchairs is nestled around a TV/DVD and an original, stone fireplace housing a roaring wood burner. The farmhouse-style kitchen/diner is a sociable spot for sharing mealtimes as a group, as you admire the stunning views through the floor-to-ceiling windows. Just off the kitchen/diner is a handy utility room. A bespoke, oak staircase leads to the first floor, where you’ll discover three gorgeous bedrooms, all with wooden floors and exposed beams. The family bedroom has an en-suite shower room, and there is also a separate bathroom on this level. Outside, enjoy the far-reaching views as you sip a morning coffee or share a BBQ on a summer’s evening.

Head into Brecon to explore its fantastic range of boutiques and galleries, followed by a bite to eat in one of the many independent cafes or restaurants. After dinner, enjoy a relaxing stroll along the towpath of the Monmouthshire and Brecon Canal or perhaps catch a show at the popular Theatr Brycheiniog. Just 7 miles away is Llangorse Lake, which makes a lovely day out. Hire a canoe or paddleboard and get out on the water or simply enjoy a waterside picnic in breathtaking surroundings.

We very much enjoyed our stay at Alexanderstone Coach House. It is a lovely, very spacious property. All the rooms in the property are huge and the countryside location means that it is very peaceful. It is only a few minutes drive into Brecon for food shopping, eating out, etc. Everything was in good working order in the property and the owners weRead morere most helpful. We would definitely look to stay again should we be in the area. Hide

Great location, and better overall than the photos suggest. Quite separate from other holiday properties. Helpful owners.
