This delightful cottage, set in a quiet hamlet near Garth, just north of Brecon, boasts breathtaking countryside views and is ideal for families and friends looking for a relaxing nature retreat. The property welcomes dogs, and you will find nature trails and wildlife walks through beautiful private woodland from the doorstep. Explore the nearby Victorian spa town of Builth Wells (7 miles), offering an inspiring Arts Centre, a variety of shopping, and regular events at the Royal Welsh Showground.

Step inside this stylish property, once the 18th-century home of the Estate Gamekeeper, and now a homely cottage decorated with contemporary flourishes, calming hues, and elegant pops of colour. The cottage is on one level, with a spacious open-plan kitchen, living room, and dining area. The kitchen features all the appliances you need to rustle up a hearty meal, while the dining table offers the best seats in the house with spectacular views of the countryside and hills beyond. Unwind after a day of adventure in the cosy living room, place a log on the wood burner on cooler evenings and settle in chatting or watching the TV for entertainment. The cottage has two super-king-size bedrooms with en-suite bathrooms, one with French doors opening to a sunny terrace. Outside, enjoy the tranquillity of nature with a lawned area for play, and a BBQ and garden furniture for dining alfresco.

There is easy access to a wealth of natural beauty, so bring your walking boots and head to the Elan Valley (21 miles), an ancient landscape of dams, reservoirs, and outdoor adventures. Bird lovers can spend the day learning about birds of prey at the Valley View Falconry Centre (16.5 miles). And the town of Brecon is less than 20 miles away. This lovely town is a gateway to strolls along the Brecon Canal or more challenging walks or mountain biking opportunities in the Bannau Brycheiniog National Park (Brecon Beacons).

Brest y Garth was in all aspects true to the description on the site. I chose it primarily for the view and it was exactly as l had dreamed of. Lovely cottage in a stunning setting. We like to find somewhere remote as we take cats with us who like to go outside, and this was perfect, situated up a single track on farmland. Our only neighbours were sheep. The cottage is well equipped and all on one floor, and has an open plan layout. I would highly recommend and would be happy to stay againRead more. Hide
