The river Usk passes by the grounds. Talybont-on-Usk offers many activities, including cycling, walking, fishing, canoeing and mountain biking.

The impressive farmhouse is a classic Georgian family design, set in a lush, secluded landscape. Step inside, and the interior design and furnishings’ character, charm and elegance will enchant you. Explore the nooks and crannies of the house, and you’ll uncover many original gems like oak floorboards and beams. Downstairs are two social spaces with comfortable seating for chatting, and each has a roaring wood burner in an inglenook fireplace, creating a relaxing ambience. The main kitchen is a lovely space for dining. There is another back kitchen, too, so meal preparation is a breeze. There is a downstairs shower room. There are three other double rooms, a twin, and a single room. There is also one shower room and two family bathrooms on this level. Outside, an enclosed garden is yours to enjoy together, and the children can play games on the lawn. There are extensive grounds to explore, and you can ask for a farm tour to meet the animals.

Nearby Talybont Reservoir (3.5 miles) is perfect for a stroll around its banks, watching for wildlife or taking out a canoe. The Bannau Brycheiniog or Brecon Beacons National Park surrounds you, offering plenty of peak action on a family hike. Head to Brecon (7 miles), and explore the shops, walk along the canal towpath, or take a boat trip on the canal. Fantastic farmhouse conveniently located for Brecons National Park and local walks including the Monmouth-Brecon Canal. Grounds of the property are extensive.
