The ideal retreat for an adventurous family or group of friends. Relax in welcoming rooms before heading into the great unknown of the Brecon Beacons National Park.
This comfortable cottage is ideally placed for couples and small families to enjoy thrilling adventures in the heart of the Bannau Brycheiniog National Park. After a day in the great outdoors, come back to glorious views from the garden or a cosy night in front of the wood burner.
Start to relish the peace and tranquillity of the area as you head down a quiet lane to find your cosy cottage at the end. Leave your coats and boots in the hallway and step into the welcoming, open-plan living space, full of natural light. In the winter you can throw some pellets onto the wood burner, and get comfortable with a good book or something on the TV. Just around the corner you’ll find a dining table for four, and the separate kitchen has everything you’ll need for holiday cooking, whether it’s a fry-up breakfast or a hearty dinner. There’s also a wet room on the ground floor, while upstairs the two beautifully decorated bedrooms, a double and a twin, share the family bathroom. For an al fresco meal or a sundowner, you’ll find dining furniture and a BBQ in the courtyard garden. And for keen cyclists who’ve been out all day, there are bike-washing facilities as well as secure storage.
The cottage is less than 1 mile from the village of Bwlch, where you’ll find a farm shop and a lively, cosy rural pub offering home-cooked food and a roaring fire. Travel 3 miles further to visit the historic village of Talybont-on-Usk, where you can walk, cycle, mountain bike or canoe, eat at the restaurant or sip a pint at one of the three pubs. For those who love getting out on the water, Llangorse Lake is 5 miles away, where rowing, sailing and waterskiing are on offer.
