Sit back and soak up the scenery when you stay at this truly special group retreat in magnificent Wales. Situated inside Bannau Brycheiniog, also known as the Brecon Beacons National Park, the impressive, six-bedroom cottage, 0.5 miles from Cradoc and 2 miles from Brecon, sleeps 12 guests. Nestled in glorious, south-facing gardens, it offers sumptuous, boutique hotel-style accommodation and comes with a sunken hot tub to luxuriate in after your days out walking, hiking and mountain climbing.
Step into the country house and head through to the attractive kitchen to prepare dinner. Tear yourself away from the Usk Valley views to set the table in the dining room next door. Spread out into the lounge to watch TV or play games in the cosy glow of the crackling wood burner. Those fancying a few quiet moments can amble through to the reading room. A family shower room is also downstairs while all the beautiful bedrooms are on the upper floors. These include a super-king-size, which can also be made up as a twin by prior arrangement, and a king-size, with an extra toddler bed, on the first floor, both with en-suite shower rooms. Two more king-size bedrooms, one with an en-suite bathroom, and the other with a claw-foot bath in the room, plus an en-suite shower room, are on the second floor. Another king-size, with an extra single bed, and a second super-king-size, that can be arranged as a twin, are on the third floor, together with a family bathroom. Wander out into the sunshine to lose yourselves in the views. Dine out here, unwind in the hot tub and watch the children by the stream.
Venture into Brecon (2 miles) to peruse the shops and source local produce. Or if you fancy an adventure, head 8.5 miles to Llangorse Lake to follow scenic walking trails and enjoy some thrilling water sports.
