Overlooking the River Tawe, this delightful stone cottage has been lovingly renovated to create a cosy yet elegant holiday home for friends or family. Unwind after a day exploring the mountains, lakes, and steeply wooded gorges of the southern Brecon Beacons, and enjoy the soothing sounds of the crackling wood burner and nearby river for a tranquil stay.
Light and spacious, with pops of colour, the kitchen has everything you need to make mealtimes a breeze, and a separate utility room has ample space for boots, coats, and a dog bed. The bright and airy sunroom off the kitchen is the perfect spot for a morning coffee. The dining room seats six, making meals a sociable affair before retiring to the comfortable lounge to play a board game or enjoy a good book. On chilly evenings, curl up on the sofa to watch a film and bask in the warmth of the wood burner. A shower room completes the ground floor. Upstairs, the master bedroom features a super-king-size bed with lovely river views, while the second bedroom has a double bed. Two further single rooms and a gleaming family bathroom complete the internal layout. Outside, the large, unenclosed riverside garden has a lawn perfect for pups and people with energy to burn.
The southern Brecon Beacons are a magical expanse of mountains, lakes, caves and rushing rivers. Explore the landscape on foot, by bike, or even by train on the Brecon Mountain Railway. From the cottage, walk through the beautiful countryside to the Diamond Mine Heritage Park along the river, where meadows are full of wildflowers. The city of Swansea (15 miles) is a fantastic destination for keen shoppers and those interested in visiting the city's castle or the National Waterfront Museum. Beaches are also within easy reach, either in Swansea Bay or the stunning Gower Peninsula.
