This rural retreat boasts a peaceful location within Bannau Brycheiniog National Park (Brecon Beacons), 7 miles from the picturesque town of Llandeilo. The property sleeps eight guests and provides ample space, indoors and outside, for spending quality time with your nearest and dearest. After a day of exploring, unwind next to the wood burner or in the hot tub, or spend a fun night with friends and family in the shared games room.
The converted barn sits within 70 acres of farmland, and shares a courtyard with one other holiday home. The property features beautiful oak flooring, exposed stonework, and luxurious little extras to make your stay as comfortable as possible. Come together for family mealtimes in the traditional kitchen/diner, where you’ll find everything you need to cater for the group and a large dining table to seat everyone. After dinner, head through to the cosy lounge, where you can watch TV or play games next to the warming wood burner. Also on the ground floor is a delightful double bedroom with an en-suite wet room. Follow the oak staircase upstairs, to discover the remaining bedrooms. Two of the bedrooms have en-suite bathrooms, and one of the bedrooms is accessed via another bedroom (these rooms have sloping ceilings, so you may experience restricted head height). Outside, a sunny terrace leads to a spacious, enclosed garden with furniture and a BBQ for al fresco dining, along with a fabulous hot tub with breathtaking views. You’ll also have access to a shared games room.
The colourful market town of Llandeilo is known for its wonderful array of independent shops and eateries. Wander amongst its pastel-painted Georgian houses, before dining in one of the many pubs or restaurants serving delicious local produce. Just outside the town is the National Trust estate of Dinefwr Park, featuring a 12th-century castle, landscaped parkland, and medieval deer park – it’s the perfect place for a relaxing afternoon stroll. For a more challenging hike, head to the glacial lake of Llyn y Fan (8.5 miles) to take on the stunning 4-mile circular route.
